Not sure that Boris has done much to deserve such flattery dave.
I think you have way understated the case against him as a human-being and politician.

Boris made a career as a journalist writing lies about the EU in the Torygraph, almost single-handedly creating euroscepticism. Then he became a half-decent MP for Henley and Mayor of London and was almost likeable for a few years (though admittedly it wasn't, as far as I know, my wife he was having an affair with...) Then along came Brexit and amazingly once again he got away with another pack of lies to appeal to the populists. With an astonishingly bad short stint as Foreign Secretary. If he can now re-negotiate something with Europe that truly benefits the country - all credit to him. I don't think he'll get away with much more lying... or will he? If it all goes wrong and he's forced into an election that the Tories lose, the next PM would be Corbyn or (unlikely) the new Lib Dem leader who was at school about a year ago... but at least we'd still be in Europe...

Just listend to Boris' speech outside no.10. All I can hear is the soudtracks to 633 Squadron and The Dam Busters combined, ringing in my ears. And that's a BAD thing? Sounds thoroughly encouraging to me. Both successful missions, albeit with casualties - this time that'll be Jeremy Corbyn and the left wing of the Labour party (thank goodness), the everso annoying Greens, Remainers, the London self appointed Intellegentsia of all things PC, multi-cultural, all-inclusive and anything-goes (whether its moral or good for us or not) brigade. And the special relationship gets a huge boost. What's not to be positive about? BoJo, BoJo, BoJo Come on, you know it makes sense. OMG, what have you been drinking ??!!! I sincerely hope you’re pissed rather than serious.

I will not slag off our football team until I have given them a decent chance so surely Boris should be give the same courtesy. No, because he has proven time and time again that he is an untrustworthy self serving megalomaniac who doesn't give a shit about the country or the electorate as long it serves his own personal agenda. Same as Corbyn then?

Same as Corbyn then? Yes. They are both ambitious professional politicians, and as such should never ever be put on pedestals. Alas human nature cannot help itself.

Preaching to the converted on that one Oldboy. My goodness that’s a first - we’ve actually agreed on something? Not good enough Dave! I think we need to panic a bit over Clovis being rubbish and JS and Hak not being able to find a decent striker and enough solid midfielders. Bring Jay back!

Your right johnpearce. He is pissed He’d have had to have been, to state that he’s a fan of Boris .... and even worse to be longing for Brexit ! Must be an awful lot of permanently inebriated people in the Conservative Party then, as it was a landslide...………..and in London too, who voted him Mayor! Britain is quite an alcoholic nation, but I don't think its that bad!

Must confess oldboy to finding your posts about all things football with MUFC much more entertaining than your boring nonsense about Brexit and Boris.

I’m struggling to find one at all. And while you’re at it, how you think Brexit can not possibly damage or weaken us as a nation, economically and structurally ?

Looking at Johnson's cabinet, I think Brexit is the least of our problems. This is effectively a right-wing coup. His team are nearly all veteran small government, low tax extremists.
Their priorities aren't the welfare of the people, all they care about us creating an environment where businesses can make maximum profits with the least regulations. Brexit to them isn't a political issue, it's just the chance for them to make more money. f**k the rest of us.
The media have spent the last hundred years warning us of potential left-wing coups, but, as always, it is the extreme right we really have to fear.
If we lose the protection of the EU, with this bunch of disfunctionals in charge, we are royally screwed.
