Listen sword all you have to do on Saturday is to drug your sister into a state of a mild coma an drag her along to the stadium ready for the game, after the game if she,s still asleep leave her in the town an go on the beer to celebrate our victory. That is a Damn fine plan with just one drawback she is off up to the Toon for a long weekend Blimey best get the spare room tidy

Good morning, my name is Sally and I am still unpacking after moving to the area from north London. This is my first post on your board but I have been on and off various Arsenal forums over the years but now my hubby has done the decent thing an finally divorced me I find myself free to watch anyone I like. I might get to watch on Saturday but it depends on just how knackered I am after emptying what seems like a million boxes. One thing I have noticed, having a quick browse through, is what a gloomy bunch you all seem ,are things really that bad? I suppose for all you men it must be but being a woman I have all those lovely legs and bums to admire and the occasional lunch box slapping from side to side so who cares about results all the time so come on cheer up Sal's here and I am making you lot my first mission in my new life, I will take away your gloom

Just a couple of points:
a) Welcome to our world ! b) Yes, it is that bad. c) The thought of Mr Swords swinging lunchbox is deeply disturbing.... d) If you've been following Arsenal, then moaning ought to come as second nature.

Arsenal fans are not all that bad,yes you get the occasional whingers but they are really a fun bunch to be with once you get to know them. I don't know Mr Sword ,lunchbox or otherwise but he already sounds intriguing. Thanks for the welcome but it is now time for elevenses, a large Latte and a toasted hot cross bun with lashings of butter. Bye for now.

The world wouldn't be right if I didn't point out that "a couple" usually refers to two and not four.

But that aside hope you enjoy following the stones it will be fun to say the least.

I can't go to this but will try and traipse to Eastleigh Perhaps they will feel sorry for us and let us in for free again as they did 2 years ago.🙂 Not this time.
However, Adult price at £12 makes it the second cheapest ground this season in the National League.
And its only £8 for us over 60s.

Does the £8.00 apply to the age or the I.Q. of the Patron. If its I.Q. i fear all on here will be paying £12.00

The league fixture at Salford was heavily subsidized at £10, £5 concessions. Part of me was pleased, and another part disgusted. However, I am still not sure what the percentage split is, as it varies with my mood, and is probably synchronous with the lunar cycle.

Don't remember that.* Deliberately qualified my statement as I knew prices were lower for Trophy and Kent Senior Cup games.
* research on their website shows you are correct and I apologise for my factual error. Salford's 'normal' entrance prices are £10 and £5 for concessions which includes those of us who have successfully passed our 60th birthday.

I was surprised when I got to the turnstile, and had a strange feeling of guilt as I paid my £5, and then I remembered who the Stones were playing, and why I was paying said sum. There aren't many clubs that apply concessions at 60, most start at 65, and I assume they will start to increase that from next season as the state retirement age rises to 66.

I got in on a concession at Boring Wood and I am only 53,did I feel guilty? No I hate the club and David Hunter the chairman and they get what they deserve.
