Also, Dulwich only charge £12 admission, with some grumbling on their forum about our prices. But they are in a position of having to get property developers, who recently evicted them, to build them a shiny new ground. They were also praising our ground, built and paid for by interest free loans that are gradually being repaid by us, the fans. Even if it means paying the price of a pint extra, I know which business model I prefer.

OK, finally well/un-busy enough to do some stats... We've been well and truly knocked off the top of the attendance table this season by DH. So, I set out to 'prove' that this was either FAKE NEWS, or some sort of statistical anomaly produced by Hamlet letting people in for free! Unfortunately, none of the above, there appears to have been a perfectly genuine increase in gates at CH - an average of over 500 more fans at each game. I still suspect some shenanigans, because their season opened perfectly normally, with the first three home games averaging just 1,469 - a decent enough gate, but well below the average gate for the Mighty Stones. Then they got more than 2,000 in for their 4th home game (Slough). Next was us, on a Tuesday, so 1,684 wasn't a bad gate. But then they took off… The following Saturday (Hungerford), they were over 2,000 again, and three games later (Billericay), they hit 3,132. The numbers dropped a bit after that, but still averaged 2,395. Their current overall average is 2,190, but since our visit (7 games), they have averaged 2,587. Why are you so obsessed with DH attendances. It's not a competition to see who gets the biggest crowds. As long as we're above them in the table I don't care if they're getting 100000 every game. With JDL it's the size that matters. It is the only thing of importance.

You forget that Dulwich Hamlet are higher up the pyramid than they have ever been,or higher than I ever remember anyway and surviving in this league and be considered success for them and as we know all too well success puts bums on seats therefore their attendances will hold up,but should they be relegated they would undoubtedly slide a little. Another example of success is South Shields fc who i watched play Whitley bay 9 year ago in front of 141 people with 60% of those coming from Whitley but now after several promotions they attract 1500+ every home game

"Obsessed"? One post on a fellow NS club's unusual increase in attendance on a thread called "Attendance"? Gosh.

I like football facts and figures so keep it up JDL, if others dont like it then tough. Here's one for you JDL Jersey Bulls have played 21 league games and won them all, they have not conceded a goal in over 1000 minutes of football and are the only team in England that begins with or contains the letter J.

Someone is obsessed about other people being obsessed. I will have to ask my psychiatrist, God bless her,if it is possible to be obsessive about obsession. With obsession being a negative then 2 negatives make a positive therefore an obsession with obsession cannot truly exist.

In English football - Jersey is not in England. Have Jarrow Boldon Roofing (saw them in a Vase SF at Didcot in 2005) gone bust or been renamed? I have seen teams beginning with all letters except X and Z (Irthlingborough Ipswich QPR VCD Kettering Kidderminster Kingstonian York filling in some of the other rare letters).

I meant english football and yes Jarrow roofing and Boldon colliery welfare folded last season. There is a Jarrow fc I believe but they are not much more than a pub side.

If there is a Jesmond fc then they have somewhat passed me by and like Jarrow fc must be playing at a level way below the pyramid but that could be a good call nws. Addendum: Jesmond fc are an intermediate status club who play in the northern football alliance division 2 which is level 13 nationally or step 9 if you discount the prem and EFL leagues. This is the equivalent of where Maidstone began after reformation.
