Trouble with that is exactly what Sword says some people cannot afford increased prices. Maybe the club could open up a direct debit of some kind so those that are fortunate enough to afford a payment can do so an those that cannot are not made to feel inferior. Plus it could be a voluntary donation each month. You're right, of course, but we have to face the harsh commercial realities of being in the NL. And Sword could always have one beer less! At West Ham, they had a scheme where you could buy a ST on credit, but pay it off over the season. At the time, it was the only way I could afford a ST - and hence the only way I could watch the big games (UP holding only about 36,000 at the time), so it was very welcome. But you paid a fairly hefty interest charge - which, of course, didn't go to the club. Maybe MUFC could do something like this and administer it themselves - although that's probably a big ask. What about a scheme where people pay more per match for not having a season ticket paid up front. This could easily be collected at the gate for each home match. Id get this idea to Oliver and Terry quick. Brilliant!

One beer less? At the moment I can afford the extra beer but from April when I am retired on grounds of ill health and disability my income will go down by £931.03 per month then the problems will begin in earnest but I am sure the kind ,caring Tories will look after me😫😫😫😫 Next time we meet I will treat you to a pint, it will be good to have a decent chat It's a shame he wouldn't be able to say the same

You also have to remember that 50% of the clubs in this league are ex league clubs who have been relegated but have refused to drop prices making their own fans pay for FAILURE . We are still on the way up(or on the way down) so we have not yet attained the heights of these clubs. Should we go down, heaven forbid, will the clubs in the South be saying we only charge £12 whilst Maidstone are ripping us off for £15? You are right Steve it is tricky but I can no longer afford to go to most away games would you at anybody else deny me home games as well. Finally this is not a pop at you Steve as I have known you for years and fully respect you and your opinions. Please read my posts. I am not advocating a rise. I am just asking the question. I know Steve you are just asking the question and i am just answering it. The price were held this year and season tickets dropped ,should we go down I expect it to remain at present levels but should we stay up I fully expect a rise next season of probably £2 per game.

How come it's such a big drop? The money I currently receive is a health insurance pay out through my Hays pension that if you add to ESA works out at 2/3 my of what my income would be if I was at work . This is in place for 3 years, used to be 5,and the three years ends in April. My only income then will be ESA&PIP which is liveable on but luxuries like beer and football will be just that luxuries to have every now and then. I should be able to manage a season ticket next year but after that who knows? I may be watching for free along with Elvis by then.

I was in a bad financial situation for a few years post-divorce, and can remember only too well how tight things were. Clubs used to do lower entrance prices for people on benefits once, but that seems to have gone out of fashion.

Nothing to do with football as a game, however, in support of a fellow follower. Sorry to hear about your current circumstances, SWORD65. Are you aware that you may receive more if you are in the support group of ESA. The Personal independent Payment is made up of two elements. Daily living allowance which is both enhanced or standard rates and the mobility component which also covers enhanced and standard. You may be entitle to help with your rent or mortgage plus council tax. There is also a scheme that allows you free bus travel which is available through Maidstone Borough Council. Good Luck

Good question. It's "one of those".
I think to leave it unchanged for another season would be a good reward for some loyal support that has seen very few home wins.
To increase it with the promise of more investment would also make sense but how many fans would we lose. Even to lose 10 or 20 would be a shame as although we would be up in £ terms, I like to think to think of the club as a community asset that all can enjoy.
Whatever would be decided, a consultation with the fans would be a PR winner.

Now you mention it, didn't everyone whinge last season, so season ticket prices were dropped to please the moaners. Now attendances are down, less money for players and we are more reliant than ever on loan deals. Oliver, if you're reading this, ignore the forum experts, raise prices, sign a couple of decent players, watch attendances and income rise, use spare money to prepare for the Football League. I should run a football club.

Please be patient and the football league will come eventually when we are READY for it and that time is not now.

Good Luck Because of the insurance money I am only entitled to lower rates of ESA but hopefully after April it may go up or should go up. I already have the bus pass which I couldn't live without as I am no longer medically allowed to drive an the other benefits will all be dealt with and lumped together in the new Universal Credit thingy. As I am retiring on ill health I may be able to take my pensions early but these things are all beyond my brain to comprehend . Anyway thanks for your comments and thanks for caring😁
