Having paid £17 at Dover and £20 at Boreham Wood our £15 seems on the cheap end, especially as we need funds for players and ground improvements. thoughts?

Some fans are happy to pay more, but sure it's a good idea until we start performing consistently well at home. Could charge more for away fans, but that's not going to bring in much!

Remember our last season at bourne park? We were charging £10,where most other teams in the ryman South were only charging £8,including Sittingbourne!

Do some clubs still get away with charging higher prices for away fans ? Looking back, I’m sure York did, and also Leyton O last season ? Maybe we could charge away fans £18 ?? Danger is though that they cotton on and opt to go in the home end instead, to save a few £££ !!

Please remember Steve some of us are not so rich that we can afford price rises. I have said it before but what is the point of having a football club if you cannot afford to watch it?

Also against league rules. Although I’m sure some clubs have definitely got away with it in the past Dave ? Possibly still do ?

I was just posing the question. If we need funds then surely being one of the cheapest clubs does not make sense?? Or does it increase the crowd who then spend on beer and burgers? A tricky thing to get right.

Maybe the way to go IS the BW way - they charge less if you book online (although, personally, I HATE booking fees!). You can do it almost up to the last minute, as the 'ticket' is downloaded to your phone.
In general, though, I think we are underpriced (or rather, we would be if the football was better!) - if £18-£20 is the going rate at our level, why should we miss out on the extra income? We all know it costs more to stay at this level - we're kidding ourselves if we think we don't need to pay our share. I spent around £40 yesterday, but compare that to a trip to the theatre or whatever. £40 is pretty good value for a cracking day out.
We need to follow their commercial approach as well - Most of their income comes from hosting reserve and women's teams (Le Arse and Watford). Surely we could do something like that? Not on 3G, perhaps, but, with that sort of income, we could afford a decent pitch like BW.

Trouble with that is exactly what Sword says some people cannot afford increased prices. Maybe the club could open up a direct debit of some kind so those that are fortunate enough to afford a payment can do so an those that cannot are not made to feel inferior. Plus it could be a voluntary donation each month.
