Nothing to do with this thread particularly, but I'd like to compliment the Gateshead away fans for joining in fully with the applause for Peter Overton. They wouldn't have known Ovey from Adam, but fair play to them for taking a full part in the applause - good sports, all of 'em.

The ones I met were decent blokes, not crowing, and sympathetic to our situation. I think fans prepared to make that sort of trip are genuine fans - of football and non-league, not just their club. Reminded me of the old days at London Road, chatting to away fans during the game, not just in the pub before. Would it be so bad to be back in the NS again?

Don't want it but wouldn't call it a disaster, compared with other things that could, did, and are happening.
Never too high, never too low (where did I hear that quote?)
