Sean Shields and Nathan Ashmore might be worth a punt? (apologies about mentioning SS to all those who do not want returnees) SS yes Ashmore’s a loose cannon and not wired correctly so no thanks Good keeper though!

Sean Shields and Nathan Ashmore might be worth a punt? (apologies about mentioning SS to all those who do not want returnees) i think Ashmores aiming a bit higher than conf south, probably end up at Daryls next club i believe there close friends as a lot of the squad were, Shields could be a good punt he was coached by Daryl at D&R, just remember you will have to pay him this time

One of the reasons I wouldn't (and still won't) give the Medway tossers the steam off a bucket of shite is the way they picked over the carcass of our club in 1992 (Gary Breen and Liburd Henry in particular).
Could we avoid doing the same to Ebbsfleet? I hope that Ebbsfleet recover, and continue to compete at the same level we want to.

I don't know what the interpretation of a 7 dayer is on the Ebbsfleet official/fans site ,but aren't adjourments normally at least 14 days and most times 28 . Does it mean that judge is satisfied that cheques and payments are genuinely about to happen ;or the complete opposite insofar as he has no faith in that happening at all-and thus wants to get it sorted quick which could be quite nasty for Ebbsfleet ? The official reason is that the Dr told the judge that his club has an infection and he has prescribed a course of Amoxycillin to be taken for 7 days by which time he may have come up with a more plausible reason not to pay the tax man.

How many of them clubs are repeated on that list? ?? You would've thought that they might have adjusted their business models a bit to stop the same thing happening again and again. Or they seem happy to waste time and resources attending court cases, surely they could spend the time money better and not be in these situations??

Blimey!
What a well run and steady business football is!
Why did Anton Ferdinand want to wind up Southend United? And why is he foreign??

ive been hearing rumours there might be a takeover of the club by Peter Varney and he plans to reinstall Daryl as manager which i believe would be fantastic for everyone who supports the Fleet

Sometimes you have to start proceedings to get stuff going. Doesn’t mean they weren’t solvent, just needed to focus their attention a bit to get paid.
I’m guessing Anton Ferdinand Ltd is based overseas. He’d be paid partially as salary for football and some of it for other stuff through his company, it’s pretty common in football.

I'm sure I read somewhere that he tried buying the club awhile back but the doctor turned him down. You would have to wonder why the doctor would not want to sell it back to Reg, given the fact he has clearly lost interest in bankrolling the club. They are literally on the brink of extinction and even decimating the size of the playing budget isn't going to resolve everything for them. Their mortgage payment every month to the stand builders may well be a five-figure sum given the amount owed, and they still need to pay off HMRC, any staff wages still not paid, possibly the player pensions if not already done, K-Sports and maybe other creditors who we don't know are owed money because they haven't chosen to publicly moan about it (yet). I find it hard to believe the club have been paying all of their other bills on time as they clearly have little or no money. Also, according to Companies House, they still haven't filed their accounts. In a Kent Online article on April 24th, Dave Archer was quoted as saying "The accounts are being done next week." It does sometimes take a few days for the record to be updated from the day you submit the accounts, but not this long. I strongly suspect they haven't filed them. It's a mess. Probably time for them to give Reg another go if he is serious and has the funds. Will certainly be interesting to see how this plays out. Many (not all to be fair) fans on their forum are still trying desperately to forget about the whole thing, hoping it will go away like some bad dream. They take the same attitude when it comes to Stones fans posting on the subject 'over there'. I've actually given them quite a lot of sympathy for their plight on the forum but got plenty of rudeness back so I will leave them alone to their fate now. I actually started a thread on their forum about the winding-up order because incredibly, while it was being discussed on here, it hadn't even been acknowledged on theirs. All I got was abuse back from some fans. I've lost a lot of my sympathy with them because of that, but I still stand by saying I wouldn't want to see them go under as it is clearly bad for football to lose clubs like Fleet. To be honest, if I were a fleet supporter, I'd be pretty pissed off with your posts on their forum. You may or may not be a financial wizz but people don't want experts from other clubs telling them all their club's woes, especially as you probably know no more than they do.

It's Jayser's 'know it all' attitude that is pissing everyone off. And starting out rumours and falsehoods based on what he believes, rather than knows.

April 1st was a while ago. Macca would have a squad of 28 players on huge wages, around dozen would watch games from the new stand.

Jayser his name is Peter not Reg, to compare him to a on your buses character is a bit unfair.Peters a very powerful person in football not only for what he achieved at Ebbsfleet but also Charlton remember he was the one that backed Daryl, who achieved promotion and also a playoff spot in his first year at conference level !
