A little perspective on Fleet: Margate were our 'Fleet' once. And not just Margate - Hendon, Enfield, Nuneaton, Altrincham, Scarborough, Dulwich. Hornchurch, Lowestoft, Bognor, Wealdstone, and countless other from the Wilderness Years (which I know nothing about because I'm not a True Fan...). And that's where Fleet will be in a year or two. Perhaps even Sutton, now Doswell has gone. They weren't really the wilderness years...go back another 10 years :-)

Jim Thompson was playing the fruit machine and was losing heavily ,when he went to the bar for change he got distracted and I moved in and claimed a double jackpot which was only £60 at the time.Jim went bananas and launched a verbal attack on me but as I had been in Weymouth all week and in that pub quite a bit the landlord took my side and asked JT to leave and not return . He forgave me and even apologised several weeks later.

Some really decent players on the list but unfortunately they are all used to earnings levels well above what the MUFC can afford. I don't think we are talking 20%, in some cases it will be closer to 100%

So, what does this actually mean? Something or nothing? I can't remember a club actually getting wound up as a result of one of these, it certainly doesn't happen very often. It's invariably unpaid tax with football clubs, and the money always seems to be found just in time. A cynic might even think that clubs do this deliberately as a way of delaying payment as long as possible... Still not a good sign though. Clubs might not actually get wound up, but many fold fairly soon afterwards.

The last club to fold was Origami FC

The downside is they'll be fishing for players in the same pond as us. The upside is we can pay our players on time and are more likely to be challenging for promotion, rather than relegation.

Case adjourned for 7 days So, can't even sort out a court case on time?

Case adjourned for 7 days So, can't even sort out a court case on time? What if it's a draw after the 2nd leg - penalties?

I don't know what the interpretation of a 7 dayer is on the Ebbsfleet official/fans site ,but aren't adjourments normally at least 14 days and most times 28 .
Does it mean that judge is satisfied that cheques and payments are genuinely about to happen ;or the complete opposite insofar as he has no faith in that happening at all-and thus wants to get it sorted quick which could be quite nasty for Ebbsfleet ?

Sean Shields and Nathan Ashmore might be worth a punt? (apologies about mentioning SS to all those who do not want returnees)
