Home and away to Dover over Christmas and New Year.
How original.
Plus an exciting trip to Boreham Wood in between.
Joy of joys.
Salford and Chesterfield last two games. Could be important to promotion positions.

Would be nice to see some more signings but I think there will be some this week.
I think we have quite a hard start the season.

I hope we are not fighting relegation again in April. Aldershot, Salford, Chesterfield and Sutton are 4 of the last 5 games.

DaveU won't be at any away games just so you all know!

Ho hum, once again I miss the away to D&R - and Maidenhead as well this year. And FOUR home games in August! Why do they pack so many games into the month when most people are away for at least a couple of weeks??
Still 7 or 8 'local' aways I can make, so that's not bad.
And the last game at home again as well! How many seasons in a row is that? I can't remember a post-return season when our last game was away (although it must have happened).
All in all (apart from bloody August!) a lot to look forward to.
Now all we need is some signings!

Gateshead were not pleased with Torquay away on Dec 23rd last year. They won't be much happier with us away on 22nd Dec this year. And surely Hartlepool v Havant could have been avoided on 22nd Dec too. Some other travelling horrors on that day too.

A couple of likely candidates for BT coverage on opening day. Possibly Harrogate vs Sutton but I'll go for Salford vs Orient.

Why do they pack so many games into the month when most people are away for at least a couple of weeks?? I believe the early season loading is two fold...1) help clubs playing more on dryer pitches, rather then losing games in the wetter months..... And 2) Cup runs take priority over league games (FA cup and Trophy).... So if you get a cup run, a club could finish up playing 3 times in a week to get a fixtures finished by the final day.

Shouldn't they be fitting the games round JDL's holiday plans, though?
