Looks like Sutton are moving for Michael Cheek from Dagenham in the big sale, might mean we have a chance of getting him on a permanent basis.

I reckon there's a good chance they might let us keep him & Beckwith. Beckwith has hardly played for them this season & Lafayette will be 4th or 5th choice forward if Cheek signs

Ever relying on Jay to turn a 4th or 5th choice into a top goal scorer in the national . Unfortunately when we do we can’t hold onto them and our second string barely get in the top 100 league scorers . To ever get into the playoffs something needs to give and I guess that will be when we eventually finish the Maidstone equivalent of the Camp Nou

It makes sense for them to loan out a player to another team in this league not really challenging them because it strenghtens us and then allows us to take points off their promotion rivals. Wouldn't be suprised to see him and Beckwith stay until the end of the season.

From what I’ve seen of him the past, he’s a decent striker at this level, strong and intelligent, brings others into play whilst holding onto the ball upfield well ..... but on today’s evidence I’d have to agree, maybe he’s past his best now...... but let’s give him a chance first.

I was going to post the exact same words having watched his performance yesterday. It was meant as an 'open' question.
Personally I'm undecided. Not yet persuaded he brings anything different to the team.

On yesterday's performance I don't see why we would want to. In what way is he an improvement on DSY? DSY had an excellent game on Tuesday night while taking a lot of heavy tackles from the Bromley players and can consider himself unlucky not to have been in the starting line-up yesterday.

My sources tell me Michael Cheek has decided to sign for Ebbsfleet on Monday!

Sutton signed Barrow striker Byron Harrison on Friday, which definitely helps us should we want to.

Bromley looked ok, but completely ineffective against Barrow. Will reserve judgement for a few more games but probably no better than DSY

Will reserve judgement for a few more games but probably no better than DSY Thought we looked a better team when DSY came on against Bromley and he was superb on Tuesday night. Lafayette looks to be much the same kind of player so I wouldn't necessarily start him, but the team probably benefits by DSY having some competition for his place.
