Next new stand to be announced in January.
Pat Gallagher to donate new gates for the car park entrance.

Hopefully something will be done to move away supporters from the Genco/Elvis End. Given our current home form, when the game goes against us, we can get outsung by the visitors, as per Orient yesterday. Also, visiting teams now know that, if they win the toss, they make us kick towards the Town End second half, which then splits the vocal support as many change ends at half time. While the main stand and sides can always give their own vocal support, in any club it needs the 'kop' end to get/keep things going and that is now being regularly negated As it said in yesterday's programme, this time of the year is when the opposition have largely sussed out who they are playing against and can set their stall out accordingly. We have been sussed out on the pitch, but also need a plan B for the ground. The sooner the Elvis End becomes 100% home support, the better.

You can also see everyone leaving early on both sides of the ground from both stands. I don't care what the naysayers think, the Town End should be segregated for visitors. Or redeveloped with noisy terracing at the front and seats behind.

From the programme.
We can all soon look forward to entering the main car park through some brand new stadium gates, designed and delivered courtesy of the Gallagher family. And before you older supporters start going back to 1989 and say that Pat Gallagher had our original gates and should therefore replace them anyway. I was there when the chairman of the club actually gave the old Sid Wright gates to him, which I hope sets the record straight.
Bill Williams.
