Jay Saunders has engineered a bit of a clear out at the club, with 5 players from the squad being loaned out
Johan Ter Horst (Folkestone), Jack Paxman (?), Jack Richards (Eastbourne), Harley Willard (?), Harry Phipps (Welling)
Probably reflects the fact that the team hasn't look so good in recent weeks after a pretty amazing start to the season
There must still be a question mark over whether Zavon Hines stays (contract expires in January).
Whatever, the wages bill is going to be lightened, which points to the likelihood of at least a couple of new signings in the New Year.

It will be important that whoever Jay decides to bring in has experience over youth. It would be nice to dream about promotion to the Football League, but realistically this year would be too soon yet and it would cost a lot of money with further ground improvements and more new players to keep us at that level.

Also question mark over Finney his loan is up in new year so a good chance we could be in market for centre half

OMG, I forgot about Alex Finney who has to be added to the list of actual/potential movers (7 so far) definitely a player that Mr Saunders will be looking to retain if at all possible

One thing we learnt last season was that, at this level, you have to be prepared to overhaul the squad at least once in a season - not so much if you're going for promotion, but just to ensure survival. Yet another thing that makes this league the lowest tier of the FL, rather than the top non-league division.
I'd like to see Ter Horst given another chance, but I think we may have seen the last of Paxman, and possibly Phipps. I still think Richards is worth holding on to for a while, but I can't even remember who Harley Willard is!
As for Zavon - I'm sure his plan was to shop-window himself with us for half a season and then get a better place back in the EFL. And that might still happen, but, on recent form, I can't see too may EFL clubs being interested, so maybe he'll have to swallow his pride and commit to us. Once this uncertainty is out of the way and he can concentrate on getting us into the play-offs*, I think we'll see the old Hines return.
*I don't say play-offs with any fancy idea of promotion (I don't think as a team or club we're quite ready for that yet - another season or two in the NL first). But with play-off places going down to 7th, aiming for a top-half finish is pretty much the same thing - there's only 5 top-half places that aren't play-off slots!

not at all easy to understand everything that's written in Plastic Passion but does a certain training ground bust up refer to a certain Zavon Hines ?

One thing Jay has always done - year in year out - is know how to improve a side going into the new year. We seemed to have a habit of slipping up in November/December and you'd expect this year to be no different in terms of bringing the right players in.

Seems like we can expect to sign at least a new striker plus a holding midfield player Fingers crossed we can keep Finney, otherwise we will also need another top class centre back

Well there's a decent defender at Dover who might fit the bill - Parry, I think his name is? And I believe D&R have got another pretty decent player - name of Lokko, or something similar? And I'm told Aldershot have a bright prospect - a Midfield/forward player, who's good at set pieces and pens, I think - some sort of double-barrel first name, if I remember...

Far be it for me to point this out but technically there are 6 places in the top half that aren't "play-off slots!" as only 6 teams enter the play offs.
