Looking at the vastly empty stands at Halifax on Tuesday, made me wonder how full other National stadiums get.
Although we have one of the smaller grounds in the National, we get the 5th largest crowds, so it turns out that we actually have the fullest stadium!
Average stadium utilisation (crowd as a % of capacity):
59 Maidstone 51 Maidenhead 46 Orient 45 Hartlepool 44 Sutton 41 Eastleigh 41 Wrexham 35 Woking 35 Northfleet 32 Bromley 31 Aldershot 31 Torquay 30 Birkenhead 29 Chester 28 Fylde 25 Barrow 23 Solihull 23 D&R 22 Dover 22 Guiseley 21 Macclesfield 17 Borehamwood 13 Halifax 7 Gateshead
NB: Maidenhead's current capacity is not yet up to NL minimum, so their position is artificially high.

As for the national (small 'n') situation, we have the 8th largest average gate in non-league football.
As well as the 4 National teams above us (Tranmere, Wrexham, Orient and Hartlepool), York and Stockport (NN) and Hereford (SP) are above us. We have no real chance of matching most of the 'big' teams above us, but our average gate is only 17 behind Hereford, so an increase of just under 30 for the rest of the season would see us inch past them.
And we are already one place better off than last season, as FC United of Bloody Manchester has seen as dramatic a fall in their attendances as the collapse in their performance - how all 1,813 of them must be loving seeing Salford 19 places above them...

What is that % at 93 minutes?

Growing the ground to match our league status has clearly been a good thing, while having a new stadium in Tynan days put most other grounds to shame and arguably still does for more than a few in the CP. Being 'full' certainly helps generate atmosphere, as evidenced by the lack of it at Halifax. One thing to have a huge stadium, but not much fun if it is always nearly empty...

What is that % at 93 minutes? Pretty much the same across the board I imagine. Much as people like you moan about the early leavers it happens at pretty much every ground in the country. Did you not see the mass exodus at West Ham on TV when Brighton's third went in the other day. It's time you stopped moaning about supporters and started concentrating on the team instead.

People like me?
I don't leave early, and try to avoid moaning about those who do.
Can we no longer make ironic jokes?

No ! ... Not allowed or you will offend the Main Stand residents ... who only leave early before the end of matches to avoid being told off by their partners who are waiting for them with their shopping ... And are likely to miss attending the early rounds of cup games !! ... Now let's not start a war of words and let's concentrate on the next game on Saturday !!. COYS

And Tranmere? you make a minor error by misnaming some small club from up north that no one has ever heard of, using its generic location rather than some convoluted name someone chose years ago, and someone has to publically point it out. What is this forum coming to?

Slightly off topic but related. The NN seems to have teams with greater pulling power attendance wise than the NS nowadays. I know that the teams that have now entered NN and exited NS from one direction or another influences this. But it's a big shift away from what seemed the norm for many years. Only one in NS managed over 1000 at weekend. Several did in NN.

Several did in NN. 1) shorter travelling distances so more away fans attend 2) professional Rugby League season has finished, unlike Rugby Union 3) with the tongue on them Battle-Axes up North, who wants to stay at home on a Saturday afternoon?
