Have a copy of Season in Verona. My main memory of it is as a glossary of offensive terms in Italian. 'Vafanculo' being a clear favourite. Given that culture means arse in French, it is fairly easy to work out the rest...

Culture means 'arse'? Cul, yes, as in 'cul de sac', but 'culture' in French just means culture.
Because it's a French word!
