Wrexham's discipline was appalling. Pearson and Jennings in particular. They just didn't know when to close their mouths. Swearing and moaning at the smallest of decisions. As for the game, should of been more comfortable but just pleased to get out first win. So pleased for Richards to get his goal, hopefully his injury isn't too serious. Hopefully we can kick on from here now! COYS!!! Pearson should have been walking straight after the other two. I agree, still can't believe he didn't even get a booking. Certainly a player I would never want as a captain, they should lead by example and that pathetic attempt (which I was right by) for a dive in the first half is not exactly a good influence for his younger team mates.

Due to holiday and wok commitments, today was my first league game. Very much looking forward to seeing our new players. Have to say quite disappointed. We seem to have replaced good wide midfield players with mediocre ones especially Wraight. Hopefully Hines might give the front two a kick up the a**e as they both seem too comfortable with guaranteed places. A good result but think this season is going to be a struggle again.

The front two today worked really hard but just lacking cutting edge. DSY really does cause problems, piggot was unlucky looked at bit frustrated in the later stages. Wrexham had 2 two really experienced CB's today and they got absolutely bossed by Pigs and DSY who are apparently low on confidence.

The 'spectacular saves' argument might be valid at lower levels, but not at NL - at this level every keeper is excellent and every one will pull off a series of 'spectacular saves' as a normal part of their game.
Strikers at this level have to be good enough to beat such keepers - either by simply being better, or by just consistently attacking, so that eventually one gets through (or better still, both). Unfortunately our front players just aren't that good/consistent (and if they were, they'd be playing for clubs with more money), so our attack will continue to frustrate, and visiting goalies will continue to pull off 'spectacular saves'.
Welcome to professional football.

Absolutely, Pearson was a total disgrace (and Jennings not much better) - there's really no place for that kind of behaviour in football and that would be my one criticism of the ref, that he didn't stamp down on that harder and earlier. Anyways - my first game of the season and whilst it's nice to see us come away with three points I was pretty underwhelmed to be honest. Was good to see Jack Richards have a good game he looked much more composed and confident than in the various bit part appearances I've seen previously, just hope the injury is not too serious. Other than that I thought Wrexham were so poor that it was hard to see how good we might be, but we certainly lacked the cutting edge up front. Still, onwards and upwards we hope, not sure if I'll be able to make Tonbridge on Tuesday, but certainly looking forwards to our visit to the league leaders next weekend.

Deserved the win today, defence was good but poor finishing, when they click someone is going to get bashed. Richards had a great game and I hope his injury is not too bad. I was disappointed when they went down to 9 men and stones didn't move the ball quicker to pull them out of position more. Pigs could of had a hat trick today, disappointed with him at the end of the game when he walked straight off. I'm still not sure about Wraight though, no speed, haven't seen him go past many yet. At the end of the day we got 3 points which is important.

Seemed to be quite a lot of trouble in the north stand today between our fans and the Wrexham fans. I saw bottles and coins thrown, not good to see in non league!
