Oh, the 2 Maidstone fans with Lincoln scarves... that's tinpot I'm afraid. Agreed, the whole Lincoln thing today was a tad embarrassing. Most of these players have played 8 games in the last 28 days and given absolutely everything in the last 4 months, just simply run out of steam today, all heroes. Some good young players for Tranmere today, goalkeeper and blonde centre back stood out for me. Good luck to them in the play offs.

Good luck, Tranmere - I think Lincoln and TR back in the League would be the fairest result from what I've seen this season.
The cynical old bastard inside me would like to see FGR fail YET AGAIN, and Aldershot or D&R in L2 just seems wrong.
The last two games have been more like friendlies than proper games (I can't remember ever before not being bothered when a goal went in against us) and no doubt that helped towards the 'love-in' with the away support - but wouldn't it be good if we could keep that atmosphere going? I've always been a bit cynical about trying to make a club a 'family club', remembering the 70s and 80s only too well, but I'm a convert now. Maybe in the National, and with so much overreaction from 'the authorities', segregated games will increasingly be the norm, and opposing fans chatting on the terraces and changing ends at half-time will be a thing of the past, but we have proven that you can still have a friendly atmosphere between fans, even with segregation. Respect, as well as rivalry - we're all fans, after all.

BJT - daft peroxide haircut award. taking a bit of a risk JDL by mocking the barnet of the 'fans favourite' (according to post match interview) favourite or not Bobby Joe seems just a shade doubtful as to whether he will be playing at the Gallagher next season didn't seem to share the interviewers description of Jay as a 'great manager', diluting it to a 'good one' instead good luck with your contract talks Bobby Joe !

Oh, the 2 Maidstone fans with Lincoln scarves... that's tinpot I'm afraid. If you go to a game wearing another team's colours, just to wind up one set of supporters, you are not hard, or clever - you're just a sad wanker.

Normally I'd agree with that. But in the context of the game against the champions a few days earlier, with scarves being swapped and general bonhomie, it's fair enough. Tranmere fans did not seem to be precious crybabies in the banter department.
For us it's been a strange finish to the season, against the three strongest sides who weren't really trying and us being safe. Not sure if failure to win after our unbeaten run was an anticlimax, or just a mellow feeling of satisfaction and gratitude to the players.

But, re silly scarf waving - maybe (just maybe) wearing your 'trophy' scarf to the next home game is OK, but deliberately working your way to the edge of the segregation area, standing up and waving it at the away fans, is just being a prat. He should have been thrown out. Not because he was causing trouble or was any sort of threat, but purely because he was a complete tosser.

Oh, the 2 Maidstone fans with Lincoln scarves... that's tinpot I'm afraid. The above comments really coming in peace isn't it! You'd think Tranmere were a huge club the way you talk. Some would say not selling out your allocation is tinpot (Lincoln did for a dead rubber on a Tuesday night and in previous seasons Grimsby, Bristol Rovers and Luton wouldn't have been 100 short at this stage of the season). No need to be so condescending.

If you go to a game wearing another team's colours, just to wind up one set of supporters, you are not hard, or clever - you're just a sad wanker. So cast your mind back to last Tuesday evening then JDL when almost everyone was singing an swapping scarfs with each other during an after the game with Lincoln, does that make them all wankers in your eyes? Sadly the majority of the visiting fans yesterday did not display the same amount of class an dignity that the Lincoln fans did last week.

If he was to have been thrown out for being a complete "tosser" have to ask how many games you would be allowed in to watch.

When the final whistle blew I thought Tranmere had won the league the way they were celebrating, them singing about going back to the football league is a little bit premature, unless they expect to walk the play offs, I enjoyed the experience of the Lincoln supporters on Tuesday, but yesterday Tranmere came across as a bit Billy big bollocks, I look forward to seeing them next season
