Maidstone Old Boys are playing Gosport Borough down in Margit I wonder if Watty can do it? It's a hell of an ask - they need 14 points in the last 10 games to survive (and the three above them to lose all their games!). He managed to stop the rot with their first point in 19 games last week, but they're only playing two of the teams around them in their run-in, so looks pretty much impossible. Very odd feeling, caring about Margit - but it looks like it isn't going to matter that much anyway. All the best to Steve for next season though - he might be another JS in the making...

Honestly, I think they'll go down but he is already making some good signings and I reckon they'll do well in the Ryman Prem next season. Watt had huge experience playing at all levels of the domestic game, and has the temperament to be a leader. If he has the tactical nous to go with it he should do well as a gaffer. He is, like JS, well connected which always helps when searching for players.

Reece Hall-Johnson just opened the scoring for Braintree at Solihull, direct from a corner....

Not all bad, just drags Solihull back into the relegation mix.

Looking at flashscores, I would be content with halftime scores to stay the same.
Maidstone have won games and seen far worse results around us. No doubt a few more twists and turns before full time.

Yes so far its looking reasonably good for us. Southport v Torquey and Sutton v York are both currently level as are Woking although Braintree, Guisley and Eastleigh are winning.

Overall a pretty decent set of results for us today. Braintree must be gutted to let a 3-0 lead slip. It would need Torquay and Woking to both win next week for us to slip back into the bottom four during our enforced layoff.

I was standing next to the Braintree bench and their manager honestly looked he would have a coronary. He also had serious words with Lee Barnard, the sub striker who wanted to come on just before Solihull equalised. NOT a happy coach trip home I suspect!!
