All this doom and groom following a defeat and impending relegation. Look on the bright side: at least we have a nailed on victory at home on March 18th v Lincoln City. There form is pretty bad at the moment.

Still got Sutton and FgR too. Got to be nine points from those three! Actually, Sutton still in the cup with Lincoln and FGR wobbly at home. Hope clings eternal...

If relegated, we can drink beer in the stands, but hope we stay up!

If we get relegated, with so many local-ish matches and now having a job that doesn't require me to stay in Maidstone every weekend, I can get along to some away matches and grace you all with my creative chants, so there's that to look forward to at least

Careful this thread is going to really upset the 'we're doomed for eternity if we go down' brigade!

Careful this thread is going to really upset the 'we're doomed for eternity if we go down' brigade! Whilst I like to think with a miracle we can avoid it, I'm not accepting relegation. Mostly, because the moment you accept relegation whats the point? Theres no point for next season in the Tier below, if whilst cheering the team on for promotion back into the national league, when we get there, we again shrug our shoulders and go oh well, and start planning a trip to Wealdstone away for the 18/19 season.

If you read what our owners have said you'd realise what you've posted in nonsense If we stay up our budget will be better and enable Jay to shop in a better supermarket next year If we go down, they will fund a promotion squad and should we go up we'd be better equipped to better in the national next time! I also hope we survive but I'm not going to spit my dummy out desert my club if we go down

Relegation is part and parcel of football, some of the squinnying about it is just embarrassing.
Nobody wants to go down - cue Lord Flasheart - but if it happens, then so be it. It's nothing to do with accepting it, it's just getting on with it as fans around the world do every season.

In hindsight we probably should have gone full time in the summer to have recruited the right standard of pro players to hold our own. But most do understand the facts that spending 100K on a new pitch and 800K on a stunning new stand and extra turnstiles plus going full time as well would have put the club into debt. And with the history of the club that's simply unacceptable but I do fully expect the next season we are playing national league football we will be far better financial equipped with a full time pro squad.

A mention of some premiership tripe. All I could hear on Saturday was people gobbing off about Chelsea, Spurs, Arsenal etc etc. If these sides are so great then why are they not there? these 'Is it because these 'great' clubs fleece their fans and treat them like they are nothing but cash cows?

I am yet to speak to anyone who wants us to go back to the Conference South, but there are worse things
