So a match against a possible relegation rival is upon us. I'm going for a 2-1 victory, but would a point be enough for us??? If the match is not called off that is.

Heavy rain forcast for Solihull through Friday night could cause problems with a thawing pitch if it's been frozen.

Heavy rain forcast for Solihull through Friday night could cause problems with a thawing pitch if it's been frozen. Frozen or not, NINE hours of heavy rain the day before (as forecast) can't be good for a non-league standard pitch. When will people realise that a pitch made out of soil (which turns to mud) and grass (which isn't growing this time of year) is not exactly the ideal playing surface in our climate?

Can't recall when we last achieved back to back wins realistic expectations have to be part of being a Stones supporter a month ago I would have predicted a defeat much more positive vibes now - predicting a 1-1 scoreline

About time to win back to back games.

In fact I think you have to go back to October to find the last time we got points out of two games in a row! (Draw at Sutton and then the win against the Macc). Yikes!

Put those stats down and walk slowly away from them - with your hands where I can see them.

If we can convert attempts to goals, we could stuff them, but I think it's still early days, and we always let at least one in, so 2-1 to us.
But if what we saw on Saturday really can be honed, and if we can stop shipping goals, sooner or later we are going to royally shaft someone - Woking must be the prime candidate, but maybe York or Chester too? How good it would be to go into our final run-in well clear of relegation, scoring goals freely and keeping clean sheets? With our confidence high, form and place would count for nothing.
Removes black and amber glasses, lies down, takes deep breaths...
