Great to see so many make the trip to Bromley and in great voice!
... however
- Smoke /flare things... a step to far - Throwing things on the pitch... come on, really?
I've been to the majority of away games in the past few seasons and we've never done that before. We've got a reputation of having great away support who travel in good numbers and voice and don't cause any trouble.
No doubt the ones doing that today are ones that don't make the longer trips but let's not tarnish our good name as travelling support and become one of them clubs..

What went on the pitch? I don't have an issue with flares - they are common place all over Europe
Have to mention that Neil Smith was good value today - had a good crack with him over his awful performance in a Spurs pre season friendly I was at many years back
And the fans were pure class - shame the boys couldn't rise to it

I thought our support today was just amazing, the boys and girls behind the goal just kept going, sad that the players did not have that level of commitment, saying that buy a pie, then throw it on the pitch, why would you do that, and lastly if you manage to get your bloody flare into the Ground, don't stand there discussing the password to let it off, in front of people you don't know, cough, cough, my arse, don't ruin our reputation,

I thought our fans were brilliant today, non stop singing. I don't see what was wrong with the smoke bomb but yes throwing things on the pitch is a bit too far.

May be something to do with the fact that smoke bombs/flares are illegal at football. Yes we have a great reputation but let's not f**k it up with one or two people being cunts

Very good away support today (anyone know how many we had there? - looked like 3 or 4 hundred, maybe more). However, there were some odd characters at the game today, who seemed to be more intent on drinking and bigging themselves up than watching the game.
As for the 'flare' - what exactly was it? No normal flare produces so little smoke and lasts for such a short time. We were also searched coming in, so presumably this was some sort of mini-flare or firework? Either way, it was a daft thing to bring in - almost certainly going to get us into trouble.
And to the person who threw a toilet roll on the pitch - the basic idea with these things is that you hold one end of the paper when you throw it, so it unrolls. Just throwing the roll is bit pointless! Although, to be fair, the Bromley bog roll thrower was equally clueless.
The drummer stopped about half way through the first half and it was rumoured he'd been chucked out or had his drum confiscated, but he was back second half. They did OK without him, but he definitely makes it better. Bromley were pathetic compared to us (although the single 'singer' in the first half was quite funny!) - whatever the opposite of Ultras is, that's what they've got at Bromley.
And their ground is absolutely SHITE. OK, if you're some sort of retro-ground freak it might tick a few boxes, but basically it is an old non-league ground, circa 1950, with the absolute minimum done to it to meet National 'standards'. Compare that dump to what Oliver and Terry are doing at the Library end and you wonder at the justice of the system - Maidstone spending £1m to upgrade to NL requirements, Bromley spending 3.5p.
The segregation was a bit of a shock too - for a start it's obviously permanent, but it's also like some sort of 1970s throwback, with us penned into one corner, whilst Bromley fans are free to stand behind either goal. The facilities were minimal and you couldn't even get a programme! And it's definitely not a ground you want to visit in the rain - enough cover in the away 'end' for about 20 fans!
Another bizarre thing about the segregation was that the original separation 'strip' (about 2 or 3m wide) was considered too little to keep the Stones Ultra animals away from the poor Bromley fans - despite the fact that it consists of two permanent and sturdy metal fences, with two coppers and several stewards manning the gap between the two areas. Half way through the first half, they moved the 15 or so Bromley fans into the next section of terrace, so the whole behind-the-goal bit was left empty between the two sets of fans. This was Bromley v Maidstone, not West Ham playing Millwall!
It occurred to me whilst standing, freezing on the uncovered concrete terrace, staring into the setting sun (and being eternally grateful it wasn't raining) that anyone who moans about the JWW or criticises what T&O are doing there should be made to watch games at Bromley for at least a season.
