Probably our best dead ball specialist. Shame a bit lightweight on the pitch. Suggest we campaign for American Football rules, so we can bring him on just for free kicks.

Always thought he brought something a bit different to the side, and while he's not the best tackler he always put in a shift defensively as well as his attacking duties. Not sure who he'd replace in the current side but it would be good to have him as an option.

Bottom line he has not had the chance to prove himself one way or the other at National Level. I'd like to see him get a couple of games and then we can put the matter to bed once and for all.

I think so too. He did look off the pace early in the season so probably wasn't taking his fitness seriously enough. As the only other wide right players are Murphy (who seems to be out of favour) and Hudson-Odoi (loan) then he should be given a chance.

It's a shame but Vas let himself, his team-MATES and the fans down by returning to pre-season so unfit he will be lucky to get another chance, but you never know

Mr Angry these days! (although, who can blame him?) Very definite about DD - so, is he transfer listed? I'd like to see Vas given two or three games to show what he can do. I missed the news about Murphy going (I thought he was a decent player) - is he out on loan or has he really gone?

In the KM article today Jay says that he'll work on getting Murphy out on loan next week. Quite forthright on Vas's preparedness in the article, makes me wonder why he even had him on the bench.

Cheers. Glad it's only a loan, I thought Murphy was OK. Perhaps Vas discovered Flish's secret pie stash? More seriously, I think our last promotion caught a lot of us out - partly because no one really expected it, but also because we had no real idea of how much of a step up it would be. At a lower level, part-time players can afford to not take pre-season too seriously, but not in the National. This is effectively League 3 - pro teams, pro standards, pro expectations. Let's hope Vas does get a second chance and justifies it. Apart from his energy, talent and enjoyment of the game, we BADLY need a dead ball specialist.

At least Vas is a potential goalscorer.
