The next six games could not quite be described as a breeze, it would be easy to look at them and our current form and see little but doom and gloom.
But fear not - things aren't (quite) that bad.
Taking the teams on the same points as us, or less (the bottom 9 sides) and extrapolating over the next 6 games based on current form (last 4 league games), this is the table going into the Guisley game on 7/1/17:
16 Southport 31 17 Torquay United 28 18 Solihull Moors 27 19 Maidstone United 27 20 Woking 23 21 Braintree Town 23 22 North Ferriby United 23 23 York City 19 24 Guiseley 18
But even if 5 points out of those games seems a bit Daveish, just 3 points still keeps us out of the bottom 4:
16 Southport 31 17 Torquay United 28 18 Solihull Moors 27 19 Maidstone United 24 20 Woking 23 21 Braintree Town 23 22 North Ferriby United 23 23 York City 19 24 Guiseley 18
Of course, no points at all out of the next 6 doesn't look quite so rosy:
16 Southport 31 17 Torquay United 28 18 Solihull Moors 27 19 Woking 23 20 Braintree Town 23 21 North Ferriby United 23 22 Maidstone United 22 23 York City 19 24 Guiseley 18
But, even then, there's only 1 point (and GD) between us and safety.
And then the following 8 games include 6 of the other 8 sides in the current bottom 9 (plus Aldershot and Chester, both of whom aren't exactly setting the league alight at the moment).
So, basically, no matter how bad things might seem at the moment, and, even if the next 6 games are as bad as we fear, we are still a long way from down. And even if the worst happens, our future is still very much in our own hands.
Batten down the hatches and weather the storm - and then onwards and upwards!

A key element in all this is just how far ahead most of the full time teams are. Or put in another way, this league is looking more like THE premier one, with just a handful of teams consistently capable of mounting a challenge, a few in the middle who can beat/lose to anyone on their day, then the group in the basement, fighting for scraps. Looking further ahead, the last few games of the season seem a real challenge, so a good run in the new year could be what makes the difference. History shows that relegated sides rarely average more than a point per game over the season. Looking at the gap between top and bottom, it may well be that these relegated may not even reach 40 points. Can Stones find 24 points in their remaining games? BIG test on Saturday. Every chance We could get an absolute mauling at Lincoln, who are scoring for fun at present, especially given our own goals against. Perhaps this will be that game that says 6-0, but we get a goalless draw. Can only suggest all away fans at the game keep everything crossed when Lincoln are in our half. Did that second half v Macclesfield and we won! Tried it most of Rochdale and we kept them out. Worked well v Dagenham too, but like Seth, I switched off when the throw was given the wrong way. So, my fault we lost! Cross everything to the end of the season!

Did youu ever buy james that season ticket? (sorry) Actually if you had read the post properly or even got an adult to read it for you, at the very start I said it was an IDEA, now the thing about idea,s is some people like them and some people do not. It was something that James knew nothing about, an from other social media sites he even said it was a nice gesture, so maybe you need to stick to things that entertain you, maybe collecting stickers or something like that. And by the way you need to check how to spell the word " YOU" correctly.

And if he failed to, the dogmatic NWS would attack, hunting his prey in a stealth like manner, striking from out of the darkness. Could well be the valley of darkness,
