Jay is very sensible in staying. If he went to Orient now and things didn't work out, he'd be out of a job by the end of the season and probably heading back to non-league football, who knows where. He is absolutely right to wait and keep earning his experience at Stones. Every time we go up it's a learning curve for Jay as much as it is for the players. To suddenly be put in a football league club where you have to try and start switching the squad round without a strong knowledge of the FL, the players who are around at that level and what standard you need, would be silly. I am sure he is flattered that his achievements have been spotted by the likes of Redknapp, he certainly deserves that recognition and I am quite certain opportunities higher up the ladder will come his way in the future. Let's hope those opportunities come with him at our club!

I just heard the interview with Harry and he doesn't actually say he has spotted Jays achievements, he was given information by a black cab driver on how good Jay has been. For the time being, I sincerely hope he stays and then gets the move he deserves, which I believe will be bigger and better than Orient.

A non-story really. A cabbie - and let's face it, they aren't generally the brightest - mentions him to Redknapp. The media whore then casually mentions it.
He's not even featured in any of the bookie's lists for the job.
However, IF Jay were to replace Hessenthaler at Leyton Orient...there'd be no obvious contender to replace Jay.

You should read the Tonbridge forum, they think we'll try to steal McKimm if Jay ever gets the sack or leaves. I guess we nicked so many of their players when we were in the Ryman that they're paranoid now LOL Hessenthaler probably would be a contender, especially if his old mate Nicky Southall stayed. Anyhow, no point in discussing something that isn't going to happen, any further! Jay is going nowhere

Why are they still obsessed with Maidstone when they should concentrate on not being in the shadow of Tunbridge Wells. Hess would be a disaster for us and I don't trust the bloke, there's a reason he gets the sack at league clubs, because he isn't good enough. Jay loves this club anyway for all to see.

i can't see any mention on the mangles forum about jay or mckimm? It's not a current thread, it was on there a couple of weeks ago. Someone said if we (Maidstone) suddenly have a string of poor results and Jay got sacked they reckoned we would go for McKimm to replace him. Afraid I haven't got time to find it but take my word for it, it's there somewhere.

Based on the blindingly brilliant tactic of appointing a manager from within who is in his early thirties, who are the likely candidates to be the next manager of Maidstone?

Jay is going nowhere this season and hopefully he will be around for a good bit longer Stones are lucky we have such a really good number 2 in Nicky Southall

Yep I am thinking Nicky deserves much credit as well on our recent success. We must ask for a wave next home game 🤓
