Great game today, 2-0 away win, flish nearly got a 3rd at the end. Even when down to 10, fully deserved the win.
Good atmosphere today even though shakes and marshy weren't there.
Cracking little place, they gave out free food that was left after all the players left.
Absolutely amazed that NFU are in division 5 and won the FA Trophy. This is a lovely place, nice little village, but it's like Penenden Heath or Bearsted having the local team getting to that level. If we are both in the same div next season deffo come back here, great day.

Yeah, I did hear that Hull's reserves play there, so that's why the pitch is decent.

Great win. At 479 appears to be 2nd lowest gate in National League this season! Boreham Wood v Chester only 335.

As above, lovely people, lovely little ground, paper, scented soap and hot water in the toilets.
Interested to know if they already have a 4000 capacity there (counted 500 seats in the covered section) or whether like us they still need to add to it
Flish got booked again today, for something he said to the ref, was that his 4th or 5th?

I remember posting here about possible problems for NFU, earlier in the season. The owners put the club up for sale (http://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/north-ferriby-united-sale/story-28856243-detail/story.html) in March because Steve Forster has been unwell but no buyer appears to have come forward. The ground is not up to standard at all, and I questioned then whether the owners would want to spend their own money on the necessary upgrades when they want out of the club. Wikipedia gives their capacity as 2,700 which is presumably out of date information since that wouldn't be good enough for National league North, let alone the National League. I suspect there is trouble on the horizon for NFU, as often happens when rich owners take a small club well beyond their comfort zone and then drop them.

If they want our they should be forced to find a buyer of similar standing. And the league should hold money in an escrow account to stop them pulling the plug

Stones Live commentator said he'd spoken to NFU fans before the game and some of them felt that they'd been promoted too far and would be happier back in the NN, or even the NPL.
Sad situation - and all too familiar. The great thing about how we're financed is that the playing/running budget is entirely separate from the ownership of the ground. So, even if the owners were to sell up, it wouldn't affect our playing budget, etc whilst new owners were found. We've got where we are on the money the club earns, not by Oliver and Terry funding wages, etc. If all clubs took that approach there would be fewer situations like NFU, Margate, etc.
Brilliant commentary today, by the way, really professional. Many thanks to the SL team.
