according to their forum, we've never played in a competitive match before, cup or league, before or after reforming. is this correct? surprised if it is.

Don't recall any previous games against them and Google isn't finding anything, but at least a couple of their players will be familiar with The Gallagher. Lee Barnard played against us for Stevenage in the FA Cup and Jamie Butler played in goal for Hemel last year

jamie butler wont be playing tonight, he got a straight red saturday. but they have a new keeper though;
Fitzsimons joins from Bolton
Braintree Town Manager Jamie Day has moved quickly to fill the goalkeeping spot following Jamie Butler's suspension. Joining the club is 22-year old goalkeeper Ross Fitzsimons, who started his career as a youngster at Crystal Palace before moving on to Bolton Wanderers two years ago. Ross also spent time last season on loan at Bishop's Stortford and will be eligible to play tomorrow evening at Maidstone United.
i see their new keeper was at stortford on loan last year, maybe he's been here before too?

It would appear not. At their place it was Andrew Dawber and at ours it was Tom Lovelock

A "down-to-earth" 2-1 loss or maybe snatch a late undeserved draw 2 all.
The attendance will be 2,000 on the nose.

See told you. 2-1 I was only 1,000 off with the attendance bough. Disappointed to lose a late goal as that's hit our goal difference. But what a great performance!

Whereas I also got the right score and was only 110 out with the attendance. Superb first half, and although they restricted us after the break we still created the best chances. Thought BJT, Flish and Ben were outstanding, as were Ach and Lokko, and nobody had less than 7/10 today.

Good performance, think the team played very well. Paxman was quality I thought, Evans looked pretty solid at right too. Attacking with pace, flish greenhouse and Taylor all could have added to the total,

Great game. Everyone put in a man of the match performance. I love the pace in our side and we are attacking with purpose. The two big guys at the back are outstanding. They don't let anyone pass them. Shame we couldn't keep a clean sheet as Braintree didn't deserve a goal. But I would of taken 2-1 at the start of the game. Tough game on Saturday but we are on a roll and anything could happen. Anyone know where DD was tonight?

First half very good. Second half bit off the pace but 3 points bagged so no worries. BJT looks a different man right now long may it continue. Good to see Healy is back too can't wait till he's on the pitch once more. We go again...
