Yes we did miss a great game but not all of us are fortunate enough to be able to afford these away days. Including accommodation we would have spent well over £200 for the Wrexham game which is a lot of money when you have rent to pay etc. I've done plenty of away days in my time but with the unexpected promotion its meant I've had to miss a fair few this season, just the way it is. Call us plastic all you want but I was there when the club really needed us so I don't feel one ounce of guilt, just glad plenty of others go. Simples! COYS Same as meerkat with the addition of 3 kids and a wife my priorities lay with them as its the easter weekend I will miss the home game to and spend it with my family. Go to far fewer games these days than I used to just how life is. Its not plastic its a change in priorities and circumstances Yeah exactly; not everyone can make every game. We go to every home game but away ones just aren't as easy, as much as I miss them, sometimes just have to. We have the games on stones live though if that counts! 😀

Its not plastic its a change in priorities and circumstances You'll never convince some of these idiots who think they are somehow better than those of us who can't make many away games. I'm fed up with hearing that away fans are better than home fans, or the town end/Elvis end are better than the main stand. We're all supporters with a common passion and that's all that should matter.

Yeah, let's get back to the Kent League, then everyone can get to all the away games! Oops, I was still a bit plastic then....

Top post updated after our final away game today. 280 another good turnout and leaves our final average at 273 across all away games.
It's been a great season on the road, have managed to make 10 away myself this year, and credit should go to all Stones who have made a journey away from the Gallagher. The fans who've managed to do most of the games and travel all over the country are a credit to the club.
Question now is can we increase this number next year, as our away support is a big plus for us over other teams at this level. 300 next year?

I see numbers being lower next year, unless we get both Fleet and Darts up. Novelty will have worn off for most grounds.

Don't go along with this idea of plastic fans. Of the 750 odd who went to the FA cup tie pretty much all were regulars. Just because they weren't all regular away fans doesn't make them plastic. If the fixture was FA Cup Second Round, you would have a lot more turning up that's fact. Yeah the away support has been really good this year but it does piss me off, only with Wrexham in particular compared to 2014 when we are now in a relegation battle as opposed to top of the league doing welll. Well those fans didn't witness us beating a massive ex league club away from home and the game that probably keeped us up. Something I'd treasure. I watched it on my computer for free so more muggins you for traipsing right across there.
