Barrow may not be gifted in terms of beautiful scenery, but the Barrovians are very pleasant and welcoming people.
If you ask Chris Byrom "Volunteer main stand supervisor" I am sure he can provide you with sufficient information regarding what to expect from a visit to Barrow.
In terms of hospitality you will not be disappointed.
P.S. Chris is a Barrovian and he and his wife are passionate Maidstone United fans.

If I am off I will go and visit my friends in Carlisle. I'll stand and talk to you. Shucks thanks - only 45 mins down the road from me. If your going to Carlisle don't forget your wellies and if you paint them A & B I'll know who I'm taking to !! Does Barrow have Gondolas Toon or just the odd nuke sub for day trips ?? Don't worry, BS. I used to live in Carlisle so I am well aware of the weather up there. Just back from the North where I was in Carlisle for a couple of days. It managed to rain approximately 50% of the time!
