So while we wait for the actual plans I found this image of an all standing terrace with a capacity of 1800 so should be close to the scale of what we can expect to see minus the roof of course.

Minus the roof ? You mean the terracing is uncovered. Sounds cozy Think I'll stick to the Town End

Even in segregated games noway would the whole 2000 capacity terrace be given to the away fans.
Maximum would be half the stand.

This was a section from the club website message from Directors:
The new stand will be a simple terrace with railings but will have some flexible seating installed, principally for segregated matches. We will have to add entrances and exits, toilets and refreshment facilities. The current budget is between £600,000 and £750,000
Im sure I read somewhere that there was to be no roof, however I stand to be corrected. But simple terrace with railings sounds to be just that as in no roof as it doesnt say simple covered terrace

All you need to do is think along my lines of silliness and the answer to the literal question will leap out at you.

Obviously cost would be the main reason for this! Having said that I haven't seen the plans yet, but I doubt much has changed since iMUSC's discussions with the club a few months ago

There are a few places with similar stands that I can think of, Bromley & Welling being the most local but also league 2 teams like Yeovil and Exeter have large scale terraces with railings. Nice to have a picture of what it will roughly look like.

So it will be empty in the winter then as everyone hits the town end then. Surely it would say it's going to be a terrace and not a stand. Which makes it sound like it's going to have a roof?
