How do you know? Just making assumptions based on what happens to phoenix clubs whereas the heed are still the same club. New owners, new players, probably new ground... Yes,yes and no as they fully intend to stay at the international stadium for the near future. There are only 2 other grounds in the city of Gateshead the first is a rugby stadium that hols around 5000 the other belongs to Dunston uts who have just been promoted the northern NW division and my recollection of the ground from 5 years ago is that Gatehead would have tospend a few pennies on improvements. There was talk of Kingston Park north of the river which is only 20 minutes or so on the metro but i cannot see that happening though if it did and we played there I could walk from my Aunties house

Irrelevant unless you're arguing we're the third incarnation of Maidstone United. New Players? Players come and go all the time as last season will testify. Doesn't make a new club. New Stadium? They have secured a 5 year lease on the International Stadium, so no, none of your criteria make them a new club.

Big loss for Welling, his teams always seem to do really well at National South level.

Ta. Never occurred to me their ground had a name. Not a polite one, at least.

Wor Danny in Gateshead says that the local media are saying that the takeover of the club will not save their demotion to the National league North and they will be replaced by Aldershot. The likelihood is that Oxford or Gloucester will revert back to the South and no reprieve for Truro. Whilst I appreciate Wor Danny is well placed re Heed gossip, how does he know what the NL will or won't do? I will tell wor Danny both you and raymondo have duly apologised even though you haven't.

I will openly admit I was wrong. I was just going on what pretty much everyone was saying/predicting and what had happened in the past. Anyway this certainly works out well for us, we got rid of a team who would no doubt be challenging at the top and replaced them with a mid table side. Only downer is we lose out on a team who would bring 400-600 away fans, why Oxford will bring no more than 50.

Yeah financially it's a bit of a bugger but personally I haven't been to Oxford City before and have had enough of Aldershot over the years. It would be nice if OC was our first away game as It would be my 500th ground ,here's hoping.
