Interesting that ' full time ' is defined as paying players for 12 months, rather than any increased weekly involvement during the season.

"It doesn’t necessarily mean the training schedule is that much different during the season, or that a full time club is spending a greater amount than a part time club over a calendar year." Not quite what Terry said when we went 'full time'!

Inwteresting to note that their 3 pre-season friendlies include Colchester & Palace. Here's hoping we can get similar as another NLS team?

It seems to be ever thus - every other club gets challenging PS friendlies, worth going to see - we get Herne Bay... On the broader subject of PS games as an indicator of the coming season's performance - it's traditional to assume bad PS, good season (and vv). But last season put paid to that theory - if ever there was a doom-laden omen it was Ricay taking us apart without even breaking sweat last pre-season.

Maybe the mind game here is to play friendlies against teams we can see off with victories to get the winning vibe installed before the first league game.
Hopefully that will be at home to a Chippenham and not away to an Aldershot or Ricay!

Its our pitch that puts off any big teams wanting to play us. No one wants to risk their first team squad getting injured on 3G in a pre season friendly.

Is there any evidence that substantiates this belief that 3G causes more injuries than grass? I suspect not. Those same precious big team players undoubtedly train on other surfaces surely?

Another impressive signing from Havant. Indeed. Havant have to be NLS promotion favourites already - Sutton Mark II and then players like this chap. We will have our work cut out!

Hes a quality player & someone who should really be playing Conference National, not Conference South football......also it was someone who Sutton wanted to keep.

Already starting to look like Sutton might struggle next season, while H&W must be favourites to bounce back.

Do Sutton, Bromley, etc have the same problems getting decent pre-seasons?

Sometimes it doesn't always work out second time time around, Sutton wasn't really a top side this season, they will be up there yes, but I think Mr still will have us challenging top six, and I would be happy with that, if that's the case
