With 10 teams still in contention for the play-offs and only Maidstone guaranteed a place [*], I was wondering what are the ticket allocation rules for the final? Capacities for the grounds that could host the final [**] apparently range from 2,000 (Whitehawk) to 5,013 (Sutton) {https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_League_South} [***]Some of the better supported clubs would probably fill Sutton with a 100% turnout of regular+semi-regular fans plus glory hunters, so my question is : - Is there a minimum allocation that must be allowed to the 'away' team in the final?
[*] AFAICS : Sutton & Ebsfleet could not qualify by virtue of being champs anyone from current 4th to 10th is still not guaranteed a place in the top 5. [**] Also AFAICS all of top 10 could finish 4th or higher, which means they could be the highest placed finalist. [***] Ground capacities from Wikipedia may be dodgy (Maidstone is apparently 3,070)

I just realised there is a hidden flaw in my numbers are we are **NOT** guaranteed a play-off place, but I'll leave it to someone equally sad as me to work out. ;-)

As for your main question, I imagine it's the usual rule (30%?).
Not fair, perhaps (from NL up the final is played at a neutral ground, so why isn't it at our level?), but there again it does seem fair to me that the thing should be weighted in favour of the club finishing highest. Otherwise the play-offs really do become a lottery.

This would mean as an 'away' finalist the best we could hope for is 1,500 at either Ebsfleet or Sutton, which would be disappointing. As for my subsidiary question (why we might not be in the play-offs) I'll leave it hanging there for now, see if anyone else has seen it (or maybe I am wrong)/ .

If Ebbsfleet and Sutton lose their remaining games, we win ours and Sutton get docked 3 points we win the league by a point. OK, I know it's not gonna happen, but it's the only way I can see how we won't be in the playoffs.

It's done and dusted for us, 3rd place, so a home play-off with probably 3000 Stones fans against Truro. The Fleet need one point from their last game at home to guarantee 2nd place, we would need to win our last two to have any chance.
Don't think it matters as we may prefer playing Truro if they get points from their games in hand.
As for the final (if we make it), if Ebbsfleet get beat we'll be at home, so probably 2,500+, otherwise we'll be away at San Stonebridge capacity 4,500. I would hope the Conference step in and set allocations to prevent Reg Varney from hijacking the Final and having stewards outnumbering fans. If this was the case, I'd hope we'd have something like 1,500.
Just a shame it couldn't be moved to Priestfield so everyone could see it (it might be the only chance the Gills get to see a play-off this season). BT Sport are showing all the National semi's & Final, so they may show this - could be worth fans lobbying them?

Unlikely - and who would want to be champs in that situation anyway?

The unspoken undercurrent from today is that we stand a very good chance of beating Truro and can look forward to a playoff final... No disgrace at all if we lose to the team finishing second. Losing to the fifth place team would be harder to take (and please don't let that happen against Dartford). Better not forget the possibility of winning the final...

Their ground holds 4,500 and the biggest gate they've had this season was 2,467 (against Darts?) - their average home crowd is 1,299.
They could easily let us have 1,000.

In my humble opinion they deserve it.
