Didn't really want to be the one to start the Sutton United thread... But Tuesday's match information is a little vague ...hope you can help with a few 'heard them all before' questions !!! What's the parking like at your ground, are the away supporters welcome to share a beer or 2 with you in your clubhouse bar, is the game going to be segregated.. And a few people have said the match might be all ticket? Thanks in advance... It should be a cracking match ⚽️⚽️

As far as I'm aware this game is not segregated, and it's not all ticket. The Dartford game on Saturday will be segregated but also not all ticket.
Therefore you would be welcome to roam the ground and go get a beer at the clubhouse of course.
As for parking, there are usually a couple of spots especially for the match, but I'm not 100% sure where or even if they're also available on evening games. Someone smarter then me can answer that one. As soon as Maidstone update the official website with the match preview they'll list the car parks.

If it was all ticket there would be a ten page discussion by now. But it may test our new 3000 capacity, so get here early if you can. Visiting fans welcome in the Spitfire Lounge or outside bar. No segregation as such, but if you are travelling in numbers it might make sense to stand in the Springfield end both halves. From the main stand it is the terrace on your right, and there are usually spaces long after the rest of the ground is full. There is a Wetherspoons next to the station, and a good variety of pubs in town. There are a number of pay car parks in town, and beware, I recently saw the visiting coach getting a ticket next to the ground. As for the game, I think we will be talking about it for years, but it could be tense and nervous in footballing terms. Look forward to seeing you down here.

Even Kent Radio had a piece on the national south run in chatting about Ebbsfleet and Maidstone. Yes. Maidstone being discussed in the context of Kent football. At long last.
This is a huge game. Biggest yet. Dare I say bigger then our Stevenage/Wrexham or Yeovil FA Cup games??

There is no match day parking at the ground itself. The clubs car park is for the staff and visiting clubs officials only.
There are several car parks in easy walking distance Maidstone East train station and there is a council office car park thats available there are pay and display spaces all around the prison others will suggest more and give prices as i dont go to midweek games and the the car park I use isnt open

Maidstone East pay and display car park always has plenty of space and only costs £1 to park till 4 the following morning if it's after 6pm. If you arrive earlier it is £3.50. Only a short walk to ground.

Unless things have changed you can park near the ground, on the street, for free because it s an evening match and restrictions end at 18:30. Even if you get there earlier than that then you can have a certain amount of free parking anyway and that takes you into the non-restricted time zone. I've always parked by the prison wall for evening games.

You will see loads of us lot heading from there and it's reasonably safe for you car and lit. Beers can be had in all the locals, JDW 'Society Rooms' put more staff on to cope with the influx on match days and is closest to the Station. Spitfire Lounge is like all Clubhouses in match days- packed, but you are more than welcome!

Once again, why pay and park when there is nearby street parking?

All any Sutton fan needs to know is our fans don't change ends at half time .
So if you don't like it stand down a side or don't come . I hope the ginger nut job taz won't whinge and bleat about this again.
It will be very busy if Sutton bring around the 200 mark I'd expect a full house .

My traitorous guts are telling me that Sutton, with their 20 game unbeaten run, are the favourites to win this.
But a look at the form of both clubs tells a more positive story. In fact their away form and our home form are practically identical - over the last six games (us home, them away) we have both won 5 and drawn one, and we have both won the last four.
The difference is in the defences - whilst we have scored almost the same number of goals (us 14, them 13), we have let in 7 to their 3 - they have conceded just three goals in six games, and none at all in the last four.
A neutral would probably call a draw, but this is practically a derby game or a cup-final - it will almost certainly be a battle of psychology and luck, rather than anything to do with the 'logic' of form.
They will go into it knowing how solid their defence is and with the confidence of their unbeaten run behind them. Whereas we go into this game with an unbeaten 'run' of precisely one game and uncertainties over which of our desperately needed best players will be available or fit.
On the other hand, we have home advantage, which so often counts in games like these. Sutton will face a full house of opposition fans desperately wanting them to fail, they won't have faced anything much like that in the league this season. This will almost certainly be a bigger gate than Stevenage, and we know what that felt like. They also know that they have to do it all over again eleven days later, when Fleet visit - whereas for us, this is a one-off. True, Darts and Truro could be tricky, but win this one and it is ours to lose - Sutton still have to beat the team fighting to retain 'their' championship.
My gut feel is that we want this one more than Sutton - to them it's a professional steam-roller to the top, to us it's a fight against some recent bad luck. We effectively go in as the underdogs - always a good position in games like this. With luck on our side, we could do this.
But at least, whatever else happens, neither side will have problems with the pitch!

because we're not all pikeys. So your claim is that not paying for parking makes someone a pikey. I thought you had the intelligence of a pikey. Now, in true Churchillian style, I have to change that opinion and conclude that you don't have the intelligence of a pikey.
