You have been either drinking at said family event, smoking crack or eating magic French mushrooms ... Spot on my friend !! ... Drinking du vin rouge ! I also ate some mushrooms ... though they weren't French and I don't partake in this filthy habit to smoke let alone crack ! If we end up with Brexit in June, would that make you an illegal immigrant who will be arrested and subjected to water boarding ??

Thankfully, I haven't been as cold at a match since I played in the under 11 Lincolnshire league. I say thankfully, because it numbed all my senses, firstly during the worst display of 'football' ever seen in a first half, and secondly from the injury time defeat. Perhaps when I thaw out I will wake up from a bad dream.

Therefore I can only assume this is your first match as a spectator and you have a glass half empty approach to life

I had a pre-family arrangement to oversee today , so I was unable to attend this fixture , but my blood boiled when I saw the result ... What are we doing ?? ... Loosing to a team that doesn't deserve to be in this League and in a relegation position at the start of the day !! No need to blame one player , albeit that I will agree with the majority that the player mentioned has done hardly anything since he joined us ... on a hype !!. It happens each time when we can catch up or get a bit of clearway with our immediate opponents ... We blow our chances and then cry wolf !! Let's hope that we can redress the situation next week and leave Jay Saunders to make the decisions who to drop and who to play. Like other fans I was disappointed with the result, but the above post is seriously weird
As for leaving it all to Jay Saunders in future to make decisions about who to play and who to drop
Well, that would be like rats deserting a sinking ship
Jay must appreciate the helpful advice he gets about players from the forum

Anyway, how did Dumaka do?
The OS match report doesn't mention him and I don't recall the Stones Live commentators mentioning him much either.
And, while I'm at it - why was Paxman taken off?

Were you there? Doesn't look like a second yellow to me Did the assistant flag for it? The referee doesn't give a 2nd look in that video, and instead follows the ball. Bit harsh. It doesn't look like he even made contact with the other player. His boot is clearly in front of the other player's leg, there is no visible moment of contact and no reaction from either player. But, did he get the yellow for the 'foul' or for talking back to the ref?

Lots of people missing the point. It wasnt the Sweeney sending off that cost us, it was the loss of Coyle going off injured, his experience would have ensured that we concentrated to the end and not had the defensive lapses at the end that cost us the game. Hopefully he wont be out long.

Hopefully he wont be out long. This is an important point, Mike. Coyle is a key player and seeing him limp round the terrace in the second half was a very unwelcome sight. As for the game, I thought we were the better side in terms of actual creativity. DD did see the ball despite the assertion from one poster and he looks a very good player to me. I just wish he would crack it at the goal a bit more often and not always try to use finesse and look for an extra pass. We should have finished it off prior to the sending off when Davies hit the bar with the goal gaping at his mercy. Until the sending off we looked comfortable for the win but the mentality of both sides completely changed after. They sensed they could get something and we became strangely scared to play the passing game that had got us in front. The sending off. My main contention is not the second booking because I think that if you do something as rash as what Sweeney did (and to my mind he was annoyed at a challenge by the number 10 a minute earlier) then you run the risk of paying the price. Whether or not he made contact he was certainly thinking it and he did enough to allow the number 10 (a nasty player in my opinion) to play act. It was the initial booking that was my main contention. This occurred shortly after Sweeney had come on. He made a clean tackle up near our box only for the ref to award a free kick. When he reacted by waving his arms in the air he got booked. Contrast this to the leniency shown by the referee towards the challenges on Driver by the number 10 (one down by the corner flag and one near the halfway line) which were cynical and yet unpunished by anything more than a free kick. It was strange double standards. It was these fouls (plus one on Vas) that the number 10 was allowed to get away with that eventually led to Sweeney's rush of blood. In reality we lost this game because we did not put them away when we were on top and then we retreated like scared children after the sending off.

Absolute nightmare, Sweeney get out of our club Are you for real? Heat of the moment stuff what can I say, just very disappointed at the time. Wasn't there but didn't look a sending off tbf and just frustrating because he seems like a good player and you want him to do well and then he does things things like this, but clearly in this case it wasn't his fault, can't blame him for the shocking defending that followed! Hope he can bounce back now with some strong performances

Sorry but Sweeney has lost us that game. I'm all for giving new players time but there was no need for that Were you there? Doesn't look like a second yellow to me No I wasn't there but when you go in like that, you are asking for a booking in my opinion. Might have overreacted slightly due to initial fustration, but apart from a decent game against Concord, he has failed to impress and it's stupidity to do that with only a few minutes left.

Wasn't a sending off and the loss of coyle an issue. Anyone would think we had capitulated tonight and created nothing in the game. Fine lines if the second had gone in ...

Coyle was a big loss today and neither wide players were in the game. Just as Paxman was improving he was taken off. Poor performance but a draw would have been fair. Not the end of the world though.
