With all the tension over how good frannie is or isn't, how we are punching above our weight and how non league footballers are mercenaries I would like to just simply say that I am very much looking forward to the Whitehawk game a week on Tuesday. They seem to be scoring goals like a lizard drinking but they're letting in quite a few too. This means I'm thinking a score draw is a realistic bet. Perhaps even we can score more then 1 goal. Who knows maybe we'll win the conference best defence vs best attack. It's a shame it's a Tuesday night and not a Saturday. I hope there will be a great atmosphere and record crowd!!

I think that replays will be the following week at this stage of the competetition but I could be wrong. Have just edited to add this as I now realise that you think it may be postponed due to the closeness of the games if they play on Sunday.

I know that it's different leagues but the Ryman wouldn't move the Plod game after Stevenage replay on the Thursday?

Dartford had their game at Maidenhead postponed on saturday because they played a fa cup replay the previous Thursday.Tony Burman was non too happy.Seems the National League take a more reasonable approach.

There are a few teams in our division who play their midweek games on a Monday. No difference between Saturday/Monday and Sunday/Tuesday so I don't see why it should be postponed. Of course expecting the league to take a logical approach is maybe a step too far considering the fiasco they made of some of the fixtures in the first place. It is also worth noting the Thursday/Saturday is quite a bit less recovery time than Sunday/Tuesday.

The argument for Monday games is that most (but presumably not all) players will have had Sunday off to recover whereas after a Thursday game there's a work day where not a lot of rest will happen. Personally I think as long as games are on either Saturday or Sunday then Tuesday or Thursday postponement just shouldn't happen. Sunday then Monday would obviously be a bit much.

I always wondered how park footballers manage two (or more)games over a weekend. I know there is a whole different level of fitness between National and park football but at their respective levels .....

Various performance enhancers at park level. Lucozade, red bull, other stimulants... You forgot the semi-naked cheer-leaders shouting encouragement; and no forum criticising player performances.

My experience of Sunday morning football was that if you turned up sober you had a distinct advantage. Saturday football tended to be a lot more serious.
