Well done guys.
Until we play a few more games we won't know if you have a good side or we are going to have another long season.
All the best for the remainder of the season.

Well done guys. Until we play a few more games we won't know if you have a good side or we are going to have another long season. All the best for the remainder of the season. Thanks Commons, although you could quite easily been 2-0 up yourselves before we scored. Interesting if not a great game , still I would have taken a draw beforehand so the journey home was a lot better. Found the Sutton supporters/staff pretty good natured so will look forward to their visit to us.

I was somewhat surprised at the low support for Sutton today on what was the first home game on their new pitch . Our support was tremendous and created a good atmosphere to an entertaining match.

Thanks to Sutton for their welcome. Good luck for the rest of the season, long way to go. Nice burger, too. The groundsman's little trick of watering the maidstone goal area at half time didn't work

Good game overall, a real change in quality to what we saw last season I think. They had some chances but over 90 minutes I thought we were the better team and were good money for our cushion.
Bring on ebbsfleet!

What a great afternoon and start to the season! Sutton were indeed welcoming . Thanks Sutton for the hospitality and good banter- even though the Clubhouse singing was a bit loud before the match! We do like to put on a show! The noise during the match must have egged the Lads on. It was like being at the Gallagher on many fronts. Met Oliver and his 2 lads. What a gentleman and he found the time to chat with me and my Lad.
Looking forward to Tuesday night even more so....

Well what a start to the season, happy with 3 points or what! Think sutton were the better footballing team today, and played some very nice stuff. Guess we should have been behind with chances they had, 1 was a great save from lee worgan, and the woodwork saving us too. We showed glimpses of nice football, but we gave the ball away a bit cheap at times. Worgan, watt healy and may were our best players in my opinion, lovely goal from healy, and to me looks a class player, we can only get better, roll on tuesday

What a great day out from start to finish. There must have been around 750 maidstone fans there creating a great atmosphere. As for the game Sutton looked a very good side with two quality centre backs. The first half hour Sutton were very much on top but slowly we began to match them.Second half started very much end to untill Healys cracker then we were hanging on untill Alex sealed it . Such a great game Driver , Healys looked class but my motm was Lee Worgan outstanding today kept us in it time and again.

What a better way to start the season in a new league against one of the fancied team and go in their back yard and come away with a victory !! First 20/25 minutes we weren't at the races and Sutton could find themselves unlucky not to be at least 2 up, but once again that man Lee Worgan stood strong in goal and denied them. The whole team then woke up and started to control the game and reduce them to long shots or wasted balls. After the break we were more dominant and it was only a matter of time before we would score , when it came it was the very inteligent Joe Healy that provided a peach perfect lob come deep shot over the head of their keeper, we were on top and when Alex Akrofi rose above everyone else it was game set and match for us and 3 points in the bag. I was very surprised by the low level of supporters from Sutton U.; but once again as it was last year it was our supporters that created a great atmosphere. The whole of Maidstone United from the very top to the water boy (Andy) and not forgetting these guys who played for us were a credit to our town. I was slightly disappointed at the omission of Jack Paxman & Jamie Rogers in the starting line up and I am sure that it won't be long before they are first choice in the team ... Loads of praise but I have to say and I might get slatted for it , but I don't understand how Manny Parry could be better than Sonny Miles... What a shame he was let go !!. I am now looking forward to a full house at the Gallagher on Tuesday night, Let's re-create the atmosphere of the Stevenage game and Ebbsfleet will be there for the taking !!! . Great day ! Football is back in our town ! COYS ! We love you Maidstone , we do ...

Great day out. Excellent support from Stones. If there were 1300 there today we must have had well over half. One thing I found strange was that after all the stones support seemed to be behind the goal we were attacking in the first half, a lot stayed there in the second half an our support was then split! What was that all about?
