Some will say that it is too early, but the season has ended and there are a lot of players now out of contract desperately looking for a new club, so we should move quickly to get the cream of the crop.
I'm saying we should make a move to snap up James Norwood. Fits a problem position for us as right-sided forward, has pace and scores goals at a higher level, scored 48 in 163 games for Forest Green in Conf National. Surprised he has been released by them, but they only just missed out on promotion to the Football League and they have a moneybags owner who may be looking to strengthen again. He's only 24 and homesickness shouldn't be a problem as he's from Eastbourne.
I just think we need to fish a little outside the usual Kent pool that us Darts, Fleet, Dover & Gate trawl for players, any thoughts or anyone else we should be looking at?

He is probably too expensive for us.

never count anyone out money wise in non league. I would assume we will be mid range wages wise. I know it's a bit of a cliche for us but I do think people will look at the hole set up of the club and where we may be headed in the future. I know money is important for some but for others it is playing in front of crowds with some sort of atmosphere and decent support.

I can't play for the stones, i'm too busy. Work, decorating and still have the drive to do. I hope this doesn't upset anyone and you can all be understanding at this time of my life. IS.

Will Luke Rooney return to the stones. He's left Ebbsfleet so it's certainly not impossible.

Given the stated ambitions of the club, how many new signings will Jay be seeking for the 2015/16 season ? We are pretty strong at the back but Shane Huke is retiring and Tom Mills may be moving onto a higher level. Nothing wrong with the players who can fill in (Sonny Miles and Phil Starkey)but we will need 1/2 extra defenders. It seems that Rogers and Parkinson are ever present in centre midfield but are we going to need a little extra in a higher league ? We are in serious need of a really good midfield playmaker. Will Jack Paxman fill this slot ? He looks seriously promising in the little cameos we have seen, but we probably need another midfielder of quality. and up front ? Well with Jay May, Billy Bricknell and Frannie Collin probably nailed on from the start, how much extra do we need assuming Flish comes back fit ? We know what we get from Greenhalgh, Bodkin and Brown, but my guess is we may only be retaining one or at best two of these players. Most probably we will strengthen with another striker/winger ? All in all, my guess is probably 4 quality new signings

Brothers good mates with Newport County defender Lee Minshull. He's looking to move back down south and he's very interested in signing for Maidstone, he said we're offering big money!

Wallace of Whitehawk was man of the match when we played them a year or so ago, he'd be a top signing
