Will be back in our hands if we can beat them on Saturday. Let's hope they get their game in this week so they dont get a full rest.

So now it's back in Hendon's hands That would be the pessimist way of looking at it, but equally it is in our own hands. If we could win on Saturday we would leave Hendon trailing by 11 points with a maxiumum of 6 points that they could make up through two games in hand (assuming they won them both).

Lets get real here if we had drawm against Margate because they are a "good" side and beaten Grays "expected" everyone would be happy with 4 points. We done it the other way round and still have 4 points. No way is this going to be easy but I would rather be in our position than anybody elses. Bring on Hendon.

Always take points in the bag over having games in hand. If Hendon will every game for the rest of the season then they deserve to win the league.

Not that it would have made any difference to the outcome, but the ref booked their 11 for a challenge on Parky a minute before time, but was he not the same player that got booked in the first half for kicking Rogers? According to FWP, the only other Grays booking was their 9 after 75 minutes, I was convinced the ref booked someone for the Rogo tackle Looked like the players, both sets, still had Saturdays games in their legs tonight, these Monday fixtures are a big ask for players at this level, perhaps too much, especially on pitches like that one

There's noway to sugarcoat that performance.....We were f**king dreadful & very lucky not to lose that game
If we play like that against Hendon we will get well and truly hammered

Well Raymondo, you were there supporting the boys, so fair enough if you say we were f**king dreadful. Happily, Hendon is another day and with any luck they may have a match to play in between. We don't have to beat Hendon, a draw will be a great result. Doesn't have to be pretty, it just about points (or a point)

Just home from windy Essex. Not sure how to take tonight's result and hoped after Saturday we'd kick on. The team looked a touch weary, pitch poor and weather unkind. Officials again were sub-standard. Hard to analyse the game as two points dropped or one gained? Time will tell. I just hope Hendon run out of steam. Surely?

The pitch was poor when we played Hornchurch earlier this season, its now had over 80 games played on it. Both teams looked uncertain on it, the ball would bobble with the simplest pass or run. Lumping it didn't help as the wind took it, so the game was a lottery. Aveley only had 60 at their last game, so you can't blame them for taking the coin from Gray's & West Ham ladies. We missed one great chance 5 mins from the end which would have left us feeling very different. I'd say we should be happy with the point.
The Hendon pitch could be similar, so I'd hope Watty is back who always dominates in these conditions, and when you need a battering ram when the only option left is to put the ball in the mixer
