[br League rules 10% of capacity or 600 whichever is greater. So in reality we have gained as we only gave them 500 League rules my bottom! ..We could of give them whatever we want. A club can state they need buffer zones between segregated areas, which should be done anyway, thus bringing home allocation down. Also there was incidents at hartsdown between fans, this could of been cited, also there fans caused a bit of trouble at Tonbridge this season .This could of been used . If we gave them 50 tickets they could of done nothing ,except wine and whinge..Considering they had about 40 tops last season on Boxing day this would of been enough. Now we will have lots of trouble as 500 will come a good majority wont be normal mfc fans either...as they never ever take 500 away....unless its ramsgate !..i hope the Police bill will be shared ..as the stewards at the Gally are useless. In reality they should be getting no more than 225 which the other teams have this season for all ticket games. Shame on the club as Maidstone Fans will deffo go without and we have handed them an advantage. Get your head out of your arse until you have the faintest idea of what actually has to be offered and given

PMH These are the rules like it or not. Rules for FA cup are different 10% of capacity only. Speak to Bill he was just as cheesed off as you but we have no option. How narrow mined that you think the club would put Margate in front of its own supporters.

Has anyone got a web link to the rymans league rules regarding ticketing ? Because there were so many differing options on what the league rules really say. There are many who strongly believe 500 from a 2226 capaicty is higher then the minimum requirement but others say 500 is the written rule.

It's definitely in the rules, although actually it should be 600 but it's a horrible site to browse on a phone so I can't post a link at the moment. Will try later if I get the computer out.

I see what you did there!
I actually overheard someone talking to someone else about this. I heard that the club were letting Margate have more tickets than they were allowed so as to prevent a boring whining load of sheep droning on about things they've been to bloody lazy to look up themselves
No one is being had over and it had to be done this way

Isthmian League Rules Here it is in black and white (or it could be blue and gold) www.isthmian.co.uk/articles.php?id=634&page=210.2 The home Club shall retain all gate receipts. Where a match is declared all ticket the Away Club shall be entitled to 10% of the total number of tickets available or a minimum of 600, whichever is the greater, subject to any stipulation by the relevant safety authority affecting these figures.

That is interesting. What if the visiting club can only bring a few dozen? Must they still be offered? Doesn't seem to allow for different ground layouts either. It's not as if Margate are known for their large support, home or away. Still, rules is rules. Could "the relevant safety authority" stipulate a different number of away fans?

For Margate's epic 3 - 3 draw at Kingstonian yesterday only 437 turned up.

Dear Terry, Oliver and Bill,
It would appear you're pretty much fucked with this whatever you do to abide by the rules. There are a few people that find it very hard to comprehend what has to be done due to the rules of the league and the fact that this is billed as a title decider.
They seem to think that margate won't bring many even though there will be friends of friends etc who will want to come to this one.
If you would go out of your way to not be so selfish as to abide by the rule book that would be great.
Cheers,
JT

The rule states "...shall be entitled to..." which implies that the club has to make the offer to the away side, but the away side doesn't have to take up the whole allocation. Not taking the whole allocation may not necessarily mean releasing those tickets to the home support due to any segregation or H&S issues. Margate may have been offered a number greater than the minimum stipulated by the rules because that may be the number which can be accommodated in the proposed segregated area. This could be academic anyway as the official MUFC site says that Margate have been allocated 500 tickets and makes no mention of segregation. This probably means that the 500 is what Margate have requested and reckon can sell but would also probably mean that a further 100 would be available if demand dictates. (I stand corrected if I've over-looked something).
