Anyone remember him from the bad old days of the Kent League when we met Ash United in the F A Cup? They had about 20 old men and this crazy guy who up a tirade of noise shounting for ASH ! Some of the old men moaned at us for only bringing one coach, smoking in the car park etc. etc.
It shows how much things have changed, we struggled to draw that match with only two players on the bench Alan Waker (who was about 40) and Richard Sindon and on the replay at Central Park they brought one fan with them - the 'Ash Shouter' who shouted for 90 minutes.
A work colleague used to play for them and knew 'Chas the postie' aka 'The Ash Shouter' Apparently Chas got very enthusiastic for a while after they won a local Cup but sadly he doesn't go anymore (he must have lost his enthusiasm). A great loss to their Club and to non league football!

I remember it well, got a bollocking for smoking in the car park, had to form a line to get a pint, and the nutter of a postman with his none stop chanting on his own, truly an odd day out

I seem to recall popping over to 'assist' the assistant referee....
Happy memories!

I went to both the Ash games and agree that Ash fan was one of the strangest ive seen on all my Stones travels. I think those games would have been instantly forgettable other than him. :-)

Yes what a day, ok to smoke in the ground but wrong in the car park Yes Nick I seem to remember you did 100yds in about 10 secs, should have gone to the olympics! At the replay he walked into Sittingbourne, look around and said 'what a sh!thole' He couldn't have been that much of a nutter could he?

Bloody hell. I bet that end wasn't too popular!
We had a 'shouter' at London Road. He didn't do it all that time, thank god, but he had a voice like a fog horn and didn't like certain players. The only punch-up I ever saw at the old ground was between him and another Stones supporter!
While I'm remembering the 'good' old days - there was also a little old lady who was a regular supporter. She always stood right by the rail, even though she was so short, she could barely see over it. I never heard her say anything or even speak to anyone, but she was there every home game. Sadly, given her age, I don't suppose she lived long enough to see the Stones come home.

If it was who I think you're talking about, she was married to a really big guy 6'6'' plus, they used to go on the coaches I think somewhere in my brain i know there names but it might take a while to bring out, I'll try!
