I have had some feedback from supporters since the announcement of the Travel Club, and following the recent imusc committee meeting I would like to explain a few things In the interest of security and safety of those that travel on the official club transport, MUFC decided that they needed a register of those that travelled, a view that was fully supported by imusc. To travel on any coach organised by the club you need to be a member of either the fan club (you can join via the official site) or imusc (you can join through www.imusc.co.uk/)imusc membership is £5 for Adults and £2.50 for under 16 and 60+ Last season the coaches ran to most away games, were enjoyable and relatively trouble free, however on many occasions the people who were responsible for stewarding the buses did not have a proper list of those that travelled. Too many times the lists were made of 'nick names' or just the first name. I'm sure had we been stopped by the police a few eyebrows may have been raised! Also in the unlikely event of an incident occurring on the coach those responsible could be easily identified It has been said that this is a way of the club making more money from the supporters, but this is not the case. Last year if you were not a member of the fan club or imusc you should have paid £2 per game more than members, however for a number of reason this wasn't policed very well. Being a member of either club would have saved you money over the season. In the case of imusc after 3 trips you would have saved money Should anyone wish further clarification or ask other questions, myself or any imusc committee member will happy to discuss either on here or via a pm Thanks for reading COYS

I must admit the whole thing makes perfect sense to me. Everyone that goes on one of the coaches is representing themselves, the club and iMUFC.

Can i have two seats please one for my self Oliver Laurel and my best mate Stan Hardy please.
Just an observation but when i joined the above two mentioned clubs i gave my name.
Surely if we don't want to make the Police raise the eyebrows and frown do it properly, Photo ID would need to be shown.

so £200 for my season ticket does not get me on a coach because I am not trust worthy unless I give the club more money that makes me trust worthy

It does not say you are untrust worthy, just a separate travel club, you takes your choice you buy a season ticket upfront for which you get a discount in appreciation of your cash upfront, or you pay more on the gate each game, either way you are still beneficial to the club, but all still need to join the travel club, hopefully many will join the fan club to support the stand extension

Last year - if you were not a member of either club - you would have given the club more money - £2 extra every time you travelled. This year they have simply removed the extra £2 option, giving you a choice of paying a one off fee of £5 or £15 to qualify for the same perk...so if you travel more than twice, you will be paying less than last season anyway. I'm all for a moan, but keep it for when warranted?

I bought the home shirt 6 years ago. Since buying it I can't believe I don't get free coach travel and free entry to the grounds. Not even a burger or a pint. Why is it I I have to pay for these things and pay my own way without a pat on the back with someone saying well done you. Totally unacceptable.

Why is it I I have to pay for these things and pay my own way without a pat on the bad with someone saying well done you. Totally unacceptable. I totally agree, and to think, back in those exile days we had to wait months sometimes to get a home shirt, as they did not have the stock that they do now, surely that entitles us to a free private limo to away games at least!

The points you make are fair, however we do tend to know who joins imusc plus we have an address and most times an email contact. Photo ID would be great, difficult to administer and may put people of joining. Both names you mention are slighter more acceptable than jonesy, big mick chris X 2 or shakey! Although the latter is probably never acceptable! We are just volunteers trying to make coach travel safer and enjoyable for those that wish to travel, but please feel free to pick!

I also think it is worth reiterating that after 3 coach trips you have saved the £2 extra per trip you would have paid if the old system was in operation. I might add, in addition to lowering the coach travel fee, iMUSC is committed, where possible, to working with the club in other ways to help benefit supporters as well as trying to give supporters a voice on issues and undertake events that supporters can enjoy and raise money for charities at the same time.
