Cricket is a really pointless, drawn-out way to waste your time. Only golf and Dave U's posts can rival it for pure tedium

How many tickets would you like then?

Do you need tickets t go to watch Cricket. I thought only sad old geezers drinking pints of Rat's Bottom Burp, warbling on about the good ol' days and with nothing better to do on a Friday night went. Have you contacted Tim to sell a ticket?

And, with that glowing endorsement from our treasurer....bump! The man to whom you refer to is a barbarian. No taste at all.

Congrats mate to you and yours. I think the BBC use video clip of your pic. You know the one's which are fillers before a programme comes on and where the hippos go round in a circle like some of my posts do!

After being referred to as a barbarian (by someone from the glowing epitome of civility!) we see that the cricket fans thought it was a good night watching a game for several hours before it was called off and the result decided by some dodgy scoring method. That says it all.
The Kent cricket website describes armagaeddon arriving in Canterbury. To the rest of us it was a rainstorm. To those of us that have lived up North it was a lal skitty bit of watter.
One other gripe (of many) about cricket. Why do they carry on as if they are really macho because they take the mickey out of each other on the pitch. I think those sorts of comments go on in a lot of conversations between geezers all over the country. Next time I take the mickey out of someone on here I hope the cricket fans will be posting to say how extra manly I am and how it's a man's board etc etc
