Taken from the Dover forum, but below is the list average away following for Conf Prem, appreciate the travelling distance is much greater but wondered where we would fit on this list. Also given Wealdstone's claim to have had the greatest away following last season I wonder where they'd fit, many factors to take into account but some pretty poor numbers in there. (Probably caused by postponements leading to more midweek games)
1086 Luton 414 Grimsby 384 Cambridge 350 Chester 280 Wrexham 270 Lincoln 257 Halifax 257 Aldershot 202 Hereford 189 Barnet 181 Kidderminster 132 Nuneaton 111 Macclesfield 109 Woking 88 Southport 85 Dartford 65 Salisbury 65 Alfreton 63 Welling 60 Forest Green 57 Gateshead 49 Tamworth 43 Braintree 36 Hyde

National travel is very expensive, and Maidstone haven't done it for years.
Those figures are strange, some are official as the games are segregated, and away fans are counted separately and some games are based on a head count behind the goal of away fans.
Closest comparison would be Dartford.Last season they averaged just under 200 away, but that was the first season at that level with many new grounds this season with the team struggling it was 85.
Best numbers away i've seen this season were Dulwich midweek about 200-250 top,Wealdstone and Bognor 150-200.
What we average in the league now would be guess work but id say 100-150 covers it.
One away fan fact i also remember reading on the Dover fan forum was that they segregate Mangles .The only fans that they do this too,and the official count of traveling Mangels with the big conference South derby game was less than 70.

Ha ha....look at Luton, way out in front
I'd expect us to come somewhere between Chester and Hereford.
We do have to remember that we have the likes of Trolley, Tim and Ant who enjoy too many nice meals and stuggle to find the ground. Do they count in the figures in they are merely in the vicinity?
