I'm afraid our obsession with them is greater I don't agree with that longmead is a awful place to go as a Stones player or fan I once got called a scum bag and told to f off back to your Maidstone slum for no reason other then wearing my scarf.

Just because you suffered abuse at Longmead doesn't mean they are obsessed with us as a club. A handful of Ramsgate supporters were the same a few seasons ago. Look through boards and you'll find us bleating on about them more than they us.
There are people I don't like but I'm not obsessed by them. I just don't like them.

If you look through the boards over the last two weeks you will find more posts by us. That is a response to the arrogance that greeted our relegation and their promotion a few years back. If you look through the boards over the season you will find that we barely mentioned them whereas we were getting a thread about us on their board every so often.

Stones fans over the last ten years have allway been very welcoming to away fans even the few Tonbridge fans. Yes maybe a few light hearted songs but but never the sort of vile and abuse that gets throne at us over there place. There is good banter and bad banter at matches look at the games at the Crabble all good fun stuff with a smile on your face nothing at all like games at Longmead where the venom coming are way is really meant. The fact is you can feel the the hatred over there like no where else I have been watching the Stones so that seem like an obsession to me.

I stopped bothering to go there a few years ago now, ob1. It wasn't enjoyable.

Never had a problem and quite enjoy it when I go. Always had a good chat with their fan when they have been to us in the past as well.

Obsession on our part is the wrong word, more of a pisstake,we have never really had a rivalry with them its only been the last ten years,it started after we knocked them out the FA Cup, let them have it ,for another year or two, until we move on to have obbsessions, pisstakes and proper rivalrys with Dartford,Ebbsfleet and then Gillingham.
The Mangels should enjoy the rivalry, bantz, obsessions while they can as we wont be down at the pub team level for long.

Certainly the pesky newbies will be pretty oblivious to any aggro in the past, we've played a couple of friendlies since we were reformed in 2012 with no issues at all (to my knowledge)
Speaking as a "mediumby" I have probably seen around 8 games between the sides, and have either been fortunate to miss any aggro, or had too many nice meals to notice - because I've never seen any!
Even when we lost 1-0 there towards the end of Fordy's time, we were clearly going down and there was no in your face gloating or anything - so if that's anything to go by it's a pretty poor rivalry!

Ant! You miss the one thing that changed at the end of the 2012/3 season.

It's allway very civilised in the VP I believe. But does anyone remember the day of the first walk when all we heard was MFI MFI and your going bust again all afternoon even in our end .Then that big pickey looking to have a fight with shaky but didn't know what he looked like so he had a fight with Lloyd hume instead.
