We have a small chance.

A lot of rain last night/this morning - which made me wonder what happens if some of the final games are postponed because the pitch is waterlogged?
Given that about half today's games could turn out to be vital for relegation, play-off positions, etc, you can't very well have some games played later than others. Slim chance of it happening today, I know, but presumably it must have happened in the past?
Ditto late starts - what if one of the games has a lot of last-minute fans turn up - usual 15 minute delay because of H&S, or they just get locked out?

Our last game of last season kicked off late for crowds...? You never know! But I was thinking more of Dulwich or Hornchurch, or one of the others. Most of the other play-off games are big games and/or end of season celebrations (as should ours be!!).

I do know, our last game last season DID kick off late because of crowds, and was part of a head to shoulder title race

I do know, our last game last season DID kick off late because of crowds, and was part of a head to shoulder title race I was there, but didn't remember this! What fun getting old is... So there's obviously no rule about this sort of thing. I suppose it's stretching things to imagine a club kicking of late deliberately to give them the advantage by knowing how the other games finished, but it could happen. I remember only too well the situation West Ham were in at the end of the 2006-7 season hen Tevez saved us with a goal at Old Trafford. The other teams facing relegation knew they were OK if they drew, assuming we lost, and deliberately 'played' for a draw. Then the news of our goal came through and suddenly they had a game on. Imagine if we'd kicked off 15 minutes late and they'd finished by the time the news came through. They hated us as it was, God alone knows how they would have felt in that situation!

What, you mean like ours last year when the opposition coach was delayed on the M25. That last 15 minutes was the deadest atmosphere I've ever known at a game, knowing our result made no difference. I now feel confused by you, JDL. When you refer to us, our and we do you mean Maidstone United or West Ham United? If it is the latter I can only 'out' you as an utter traitor to the amber flag!

Our result probably won't much difference today. As long as we don't defend like Everton are going now I will be happy.

Maidstone fan has second club shock! I was a Hammer (still am), but when we moved down here in 78 I started watching MUFC. I used to say I was West Ham and Maidstone were my second club, but these days it's really the other way round - this will be the first season in years I haven't been to UP even once. And to make things worse, I also have a third and fourth team. I am a football tart.
