Have I read that right? If we win the play offs and the conference refuse us entry then we have the right to appeal to the FA?.....I realise it's a big "IF" but what chance the FA turning us down at that appeal given yesterday's decision?
Over to you Calais.....

Thanks Calais, so it is conceivable that despite yesterday's success in the appeal, we could actually go back to the FA and be told we can't take our place in the Conference.....
The odd thing is, the conference South doesn't actually look that great, just a stepping really......

The big unknown in all this is what discussions have taken place behind the scenes between the FA and the Conference. My recent involvement in the political process was the real decisions being taken by those with real power, and then given a veneer of respectability by pretending to consult afterwards. Maybe our recent dip in form gives the FA the leeway to make this decision, and the Conference time to amend their rules in their own time. What if we spoil it by getting promoted via the play offs?

Calais, one for you again, and away from the "will they or wont they allow us in" but it's clear the Conference are struggling to get a main sponsor, as they were last year.
Mr Anti-3G himself, Alan Alger, who is sponsorship manager for Skrill assured me in a recent conversation that this issue would not have any impact on the conference ability to find new sponsors.
I disagreed with him, (it's a natural reaction) and suggested that for prospective sponsors the fact the Conference had a legal threat from us hanging over them, and the FA (rightly or wrongly) applying pressure regarding 3G, I hardly think it's attractive to sponsors?
And so, I guess my question is, whether the stance against 3G, and potentially the FA could have a financial impact on the conference?

Just a thought - let's say the FA, PL, FL (Championship, L1, L2) agree to allow 3G (or equivalent)pitches but the Conference still say no, And then a L2 club installs a 3g pitch and gets relegated (purely on footballing terms & not going into administration )to the conference.....
