Sort of agree.
Getting a little fed up with paying money to watch the officials totally balls it up. We pay to see two teams playing football not some jumped up little idiot who cannot handle these games or the crowd.
Today was possibly the worse referee i have seen, appalling for both teams in the first half and so bias against Maidstone in the 2nd it was embarassing.
Yes I think flishers card was justified but, their player went in with exactly the same challenge and got sod all. Foul on Harris before their goal was blatant, stonewall penalty in the second half somehow got missed etc etc.
I really hope there is video footage of this just so I can see that I wasnt imagining it.
On the plus side we looked better than we have in weeks with nine men.

Great credit to the Stones for digging in and only losing 0 - 1. For much of the second half we looked a good team with spirit even with 10 / 9 men. The twitter feed on the OS sums up the two "sending offs" very well. To cap it all, Carl Rook comes on at the end for The Urchins and really stamps his authority on the game.
When it's not going for you, it's just not going...
Thought Jerrome Sobers was really immense today.

Thought the team battled hard today, especially when down to 9 men and could have got a point. Totally baffled by the refereeing today, just not up to the standard required, don't often blame refs for it's a hard job out there but he was just pathetic. Spoiled what could have been an interesting second half for us with the wind at our backs.

Not blaming the ref for the defeat but undoubtedly the worst I have seen in a long long time. To repeat the word of the day - incompetent

Some decent comments on the Hornchurch forum and they seem to agree with events today, what it does show is that we can compete with the top teams in this league (even with 9 men) and our biggest issue is probably learning to beat the "lesser" teams.
Credit to those who did the walk for a very worthy cause.

I dont like moaning on about ref's but I can't remember a ref as bad as this for many years I would love to hear his view on the clear foul on harris in the box and the elbow on parkinson mickys red card and the high tackle on flish a shocking display. Flishs red was was the only one he did get bloody right..

Seemed I saved myself a lot of stress today.
Was this referee worse than the one away to Sittingbourne last season?

Not going to comment about the official as that would be very unproffesional of me (and I don't fancy another phone all from the FA again). The biggest difference between the 2 teams today was a ball winner in the midfield. Hornchurch are a big side and often found themselves winning both the first and second ball; which changed the dimension of the game because we ended up 'hoofing' the ball from the defence to Zak and Jack and totally missing the midfield out. Both sending offs are correct. Flisher's is unquestionable and whatever Iniesta says, there is no way am I accepting 'he sent me off for kicking the ball too early'. Micky got booked for a naughty challenge during the game and found himself getting booked again for dissent (calling the ref a c***). Both of these sending offs showed the frustration from the players as things on the pitch weren't going our way. We were the 2nd best team on that pitch today, until we were reduced to 9 men where we then looked the better side.
Sorry Trigger but Mickey WAS booked for taking free-kick too early and not for dissent. He confirmed after the match that it was a 'technical' booking which he "had" to give, "otherwise the assessor would have marked him down".
(I kid you not)
