I did make it to the game and, although the result did go against us, no-one who watched the game could seriously feel that the Team didn't turn up! Leiston are one of the form teams at present and attempted to play football, doing so much better than we did. However, the Team did keep playing and should have had a late equaliser, but a very tame headed attempt at goal did not trouble their 'keeper! We are a depleted team at present, with injuries to key players. It will hardly be heartening or inspiring for the players to read that fans believe they are not trying. Why not save some of the energy which is put into criticising the players and place it into support for the team and Management at home next Saturday

I thought your support was a credit today at our place in a very even game. Great to see so many travelling so far into the sticks to watch their team, Maidstone have impressed us both home and away.

After a very depressing evening studying form tables and fixture lists, I happened upon the Football Web Pages predicted end of season table.
And we are still 2nd!
And better still, we beat Dulwich 2-1 next Saturday.
Mind you, Wealdstone take the Championship with a margin of 26 points!!

All very well but who else can predict Wealdstone winning this tight division by 26 points. If it's supposed to be based on current results the it holds even less credibility when they are showing a 1-0 victory for Tonbridge yesterday when in fact they drew 1-1.

Did the guys that are telling us to keep our chin up go to the 3 games? I did, 700 miles for a couple of 'nice meals' in a nice area! Lowestoft, a bit unlucky should have got something! Lewes, bright start, taken apart second half, without Worgs it could have been 6! Leiston, woeful, 2 shots, 1 on target (of sorts) but I won’t accept they didn't put the effort in We just don’t deem to have a plan when things do not go right, we don’t seem to get any passion or coaching from our bench! I've said before, I don’t want a Lloyd Hume balling at the players, but most successful managers get their points over to the players during the game, and change it when necessary, we don’t I don’t care if we don’t go up, I've seen enough of the bad years to realise that we're having it quite good relatively, but I want to see progress. I'm sorry if this upsets people, but we are no further forward with our plans and tactics then we were 2 years ago, we've just got better / more expensive players! If teams play open against us we're ok, if they stifle us we haven't a clue. Yes we've got injuries, but why are we shocked? All teams suffer injuries during a season, but we have signed players with a track record of this! The travelling this week was tough on the players, but if we were to get promoted into the Connie south, this would happen a lot more I don’t know what the answer is, but a win against Dulwich, which is likely because they will come at us, will just paper over a few cracks! However, I will, god willing, watch all our remaining games and I will support them 100% at the game!
Rant over!

So everyone's giving up then? Blimey slit those wrists. Loads of points still to play for. No-ones given up. At the start of the season, I remember people saying that a play-off spot would be fantastic. Because we've been top of the league a few weeks, some people are getting 'greedy' and expecting us to win every single game. The ryman prem is a very different league to the ryman south, everyone can beat anyone.

It might seem an obvious Statement, but Managers and Players with the qualities that we seem to be demanding from our Manager and Team ply their trade at a higher level consistently. Jay should be applauded for never, as far as I am aware, laying blame on the tools that he has at his disposal. Quiet assuredness in taking a newly promoted team to the brink of a second successive promotion would be attracting attention from Clubs much higher up the footballing ladder, yet there seems to be far more criticism than applause for his achievements. I have travelled to all of the last 3 games and my overwhelming feeling at the end of each of the games was disappointment rather than despondence! I have also seen all of the other teams in the League play and, without doubt, Dulwich Hamlet are one of the 3 best footballing sides. Maybe they don't have a Plan B either as they too have lost their last 3 games, but teams have a style which, if it proves successful (and we are both in the top 3 at present, a measure of some success) teams rarely change their plans. Adaptation of those plans can work, but they can equally fail if there is an unfamiliarity with the structure/formation. When it works, it was marvellous, when it doesn't, the Manager is criticised for not having a clue. Enough negativity! That only ever has one effect! Poorer performances!

It's not simply that we lost it was how, we were never going to score in this game. poor franie despite all his work never had one decent ball all afternoon our wide players tucked in making the midfield far to overcrowded. The fact is when thing are going wrong Jay seem clue less on how to change things we don't change the system or the player's quickly enough the passion Jay showed as a player is not there as a manager I am afraid to say. Yes we are missing a second forward but our midfield were short of ideas yesterday and for Jack parkinson a top centre back but no midfielder...

I don't agree with the sentiments about Jay, I think what is missing is a strong No.2, whilst Steve Ward is a good laugh, I'm not sure what he brings to the team
