this depends on your age, you may have long term memory loss? Micky Angel, Kent floodlight cup, one season gates of over 3000 home and away, I must have been 15 or 16 at the time, but really our recent battles have just re kindled our rivalry , however they do really seem to hate us, I really don't get it O.M.G i remember this . Tonbridge were our local rivals when i first became a regular at the London Road . We soon Left them behind and they ceased to have any relevance to us . They see us much as we view Gillingham only from the strange position of being in a higher division they know we will soon again at the same level and will no doubt overtake them leaving them behind Reminds me of the KM headline when we won the conference, and Gills were relegated from the 3rd to the 4th at the same time - "They're up, they're down!". For years that page was mounted in a frame next to the gents in Frobisher's Wine Bar (Jim Thompson used to wine and dine there) - until a Gills fan took exception to it one day... I was really looking forward to the same thing happening with Dartford this year, but I guess it's unlikely now (on our part, not theirs!).

The season Trolley talks about was 72/73 (give or take a year) when we went head to head for the Southern League Div 1 South title Ernie Morgan manager? Two crowds of approx 3600, players like Phil Basey Peter Tough Jimmy McVeigh Alan Lillis (Jasons Dad) and I believe a certain Billy Williams! Funny really I remember those days better than our Football League days! Anyone know what I had for breakfast?
