How was your pint of "Scruffy Dogs Piss"?
Nice pub before hand.

As an old-timer from the London Road days, who missed most of the away years, I am puzzled by this rivalry with Tonbridge. In my day it was Dartford and Gills who were our big rivals (although we would occasionally laugh at Gravesend, Chatham, Fisher and Welling). Tonbridge were too far beneath us for anyone to bother about. I'm not sure we even played them very often - I only remember one away trip there, and don't remember any home games.
Surely we can do better than Tonbridge Angels?

this depends on your age, you may have long term memory loss? Micky Angel, Kent floodlight cup, one season gates of over 3000 home and away, I must have been 15 or 16 at the time, but really our recent battles have just re kindled our rivalry , however they do really seem to hate us, I really don't get it

Tonbridge were our local rivals when i first became a regular at the London Road . We soon Left them behind and they ceased to have any relevance to us . They see us much as we view Gillingham only from the strange position of being in a higher division they know we will soon again at the same level and will no doubt overtake them leaving them behind

It rings vague bells, but only very vague ones. I only go back to 1980 at London Road, just after we moved into the area. It was that marathon FA cup run against the Gills that got me out of my armchair.
