Not much to say really. If you are a real Stones fan you don't slag off your own young players.

There isn't much to it but what he does say is spot on.
I don't understand it (the abuse to our players).
Fans just aren't happy unless they are moaning. We have it pretty sweet at the moment. New ground, a good side winning more than we are losing, cup runs.
I also follow Palace from afar and the same sort of thing happens there. When playoffs were won, almost every fan was of the opinion that they should go and enjoy the season in the Premier League (or Greed League) ,and go back down in a much healthier financial position. 3 games into the season an they were moaning that there was no ambition show in the transfer window and that the Chairman was tight and silly not to bend his wage policy...oh and Holloway was clueless. Then Pulis came in, turned the side around, the best transfer window in living memory brought lots of talent to the club...but now they are moaning again already, after a "lacklustre" defeat to Man United, and questioning the managers team selections.

Ok looking at his article another way he says older players except abuse, so I wonder if Jay gives the older players a different kind of bollocking at half time, not saying whether what has been said about dan is wrong or right, but he is playing in a mens team.

I said my bit on the previous thread, people are allowed to moan about the team, players and the type of food on offer, that is your right as a paying customer, where it has gone wrong in my humble opinion is people shouting out inane and insulting comments to our own players, I personally don't understand it and in all honesty don't want to, if you want to abuse or call people names, do it to the opposition if that is what you need to get through the game

I will make it clear I did not abuse anyone, and that shouting at a opposition goalie suggesting he has an interest in children is a lot worse than saying one if our players isnt very good. ;-)

The funny thing is the amount the of abuse the youngest dish out on social media is mind blowing ...not saying young parkinson does and deserves it but it happens in every walk of life

Sorry, the age of the player is irrelevant, shouting abuse is wrong whoever it's aimed at. Fair criticism of a player's performance is one thing but anyone who just hurls abuse and vitriol is an ignorant moron. I don't understand why being at a football match justifies standards of behaviour that are unacceptable anywhere else.

If a player has an off day, I will say, If that player comes out next match and plays a blinder i will say. A few years ago we had a youngster called James Peacock playing for us in midfield (when he wasn't being sent off) and never did all that well, then he was moved to centreback for emergancy cover and played some brilliant football. Total transformation. And I would rate those defensive qualities alongside those of Steve Watt Jerrome Sobers Ian Cox etc We also had a youngster in the team at centreback when Andy Ford took over who I thought was better than what you saw, his name was Tommy Parkinson, So I can only assume it is the name and the fact that Jack Parkinson is a coach and team manager of Maidstone under 21s, Tommy is now an acadamy coach but plays elsware and Dan is starting out. I've watched all three, i've commented good and bad, but all the time they wear the black and amber with pride i'll support them.
